Angeline Mae Quinto emerged as the grand champion in Star Power, Sharon's Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar held on February 20, 2011 at the Ynares Center, Antipolo. Angeline, who hails from Sampaloc, Manila, outpowered the other 4 finalists (Krissel Valdez from Davao, Monica Saccay from Leyte, K-La Rivera from Canada/Pampanga and Akiko Solon from Cebu) gaining an average score of 90.88%.
The championship night consisted of 3 rounds: the finalist' song choice, the judges' choice and the Star record's original composition choice. Each round, a finalist was eliminated until only 3 of them compete for the title.
Akiko (who sang Beyonce's 'Deja Vu') was the first one to be eliminated after the first round of competitions. K-La was the second one to be booted out after the second round where she sang 'It Might Be You'.
Krissel, Monica and Angeline vie on the third round where they sang original compositions to be released as their very first single. After that round, Monica was announced as the third placer and Angeline was announced as the champion while Krissel ended as runner up in 2nd place.
Angeline won 1 million Pesos, a car, an entertainment showcase from Sony, diamond jewelries, and a recording contract from Star Records.
Sharon Cuneta also announced during the grand finals that all 5 Star Power finalists will become mainstay of ASAP Rocks beginning this Sunday, February 27.
