Many GGV fans will be lofted by this news. According to Mico Del Rosario of ABS-CBN, the trending capital of Philippine TV, Gandang Gabi Vice will be extended until February 19.
Initial reports confirmed that Vice Ganda's Sunday show will air its season finale on January 29. Yesterday, the network also aired plugs about its supposed to be season-ender episode this Sunday. Just today, byxbuzz posted in his blog a confirmation of GGV's extension.
Showbiz insiders claim that Vice will have a new show entitled The Singing V. Meanwhile, reports also refuted claims that Sarah G Live! will replace GGV as the former will have an early primetime slot on Sundays.
Last night, GGV was preempted by ABS-CBN's Chinese New Year Countdown Special and many fans expressed their longing for Vice's show. In fact, 'Walang GGV' trended on Twitter from last night until earlier today.
Vice, overwhelmed by fans' support posted in his twitter account:
"Your support for GGV is overwhelming! I really appreciate it. I feel your love for me and my show. Makes me want to RECONSIDER my decision."
Inside scoops reported that Vice's show will be reformatted and it is the comedian's initiative to bring the acts to the next level. 'Reconsider' in Vice's tweets might direct to the said reformatting. Some rumors surfaced that multi-awarded actress Eugene Domingo will join Vice in the show's new format, bringing more fun in the Philippine Sunday TV scene.
According to byxspeaks, Unofficially Yours stars, Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz will be the live guests on GGV this Sunday, January 29.
