Pokwang's first starrer, A Mother's Story had grossed P24.81 million after 2 weeks of showing in Philippine theaters. The said movie is produced by The Filipino Channel (TFC) and distributed by Star Cinema.
The tally is based on third-party tabulator, Box-office Mojo after scanning 50 major theaters nationwide. Pokwang's movie competed against huge hollywood projects such as Underworld Awakening, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.
Considering these large blockbuster movie sequels, A Mother's Story is still a success as it was previously screened at several US States and cities and is Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board. The said movie is Star Cinema's first release this year after the 2-week long Metro Manila Film Festival.
