Star Cinema’s romantic comedy “My Cactus Heart”raked P19.87 million after 2 weeks of showing in more or less 50 theaters nationwide. The said movie had a box-office gross of P10.9 million in its first 5 days of showing.
My Cactus Heart, starring Matteo Guidicelli, Xian Lim and Maja Salvador opened at no. 3 in the local box-office race for the opening period January 25 to 29, 2012. On February 1-5, the movie dropped to no. 6 at the box-office race.
Topping Philippine box-office for the said period is 'The Rock' starrer, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island which grossed P25.62 M, also the highest debuting film for the said period.
