Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban said she was surprised when she learned that boyfriend Derek Ramsay finally decided to transfer to TV-5.

Angelica had just returned from Vietnam after her movie shoot with John Lloyd Cruz (read related story here) and the news that his boyfriend Derek finally decided to become a Kapatid strucked her. However, Angelica said that she and Derek were able to talk about the matter in the past and she will support him in whatever decision he makes.
The actress, which will star in the upcoming teleserye Mariposang Dagat, said that she will be happy and supportive as long as Derek is happy with his new network. Anyway, that was all work, according to Angelica.
Angelica cleared that Derek's transfer to TV-5 will not affect their relationship.
Derek Ramsay signs a 3-year exclusive contract with TV-5 tonight, April 10. Present in the contract signing are TV-5 executives Atty. Ray Espinosa (CEO and President) and Mr. Perci Intalan (Head for Creative and Entertainmen). Derek is with talent manager Jojie Dingcong during the contract signing.
Derek's first project with TV-5 is the reality show, The Amazing Race Philippines. He is also set to host the Philippine coverage of the 2012 London Olympics this July via TV-5.
