Princess and I leading man Enrique Gil has decided to maintain his young and wholesome image for now and would rather wait for the right time before accepting bolder and daring roles on TV and movies.
It can be recalled that Enrique had gone shirtless in Cosmo's 2011 bachelor bash, even exposing portions of his butt during the said women's mag fashion show. Enrique's sexy physique on the bachelor bash impressed many female fans and some went gaga over his abs and butt.
In a recent interview with the press, Enrique said that showing off his body will not likely to happen again this year as going shirtless and wild in the fashion show was just a test run.
“Hindi na. Test lang iyon. Pwede pero mas gugustuhin ko na huwag na muna. As of now, wala muna. Na-pressure lang kasi kasi finale,” Enrique said.
Right now, Enrique prefers a fresh, young and wholesome image, that of a teenybopper that is more appropriate with the projects he's into which caters tweens and teenagers. Quen (Enrique's nickname) knew that there will be a time to take that shirt off and go daring. Albeit his decision to stay with tweetums image, Quen cannot deny how much he enjoyed the catwalk in last year's bachlelor bash.
“Siguro may time ulit doon, pero ngayon i-enjoy ko muna ang pa-tweetums kasi kapag medyo tumanda na, hindi ka na makakabalik sa pagpapa-tweetums.”
"It’s an honor (to be part of that fashion show). Nag-enjoy ako ng sobra last year. The crowd was amazing, lahat sila sumisigaw. Gusto kong ulitin pero sabi ko mas okay na huwag muna.”
Enrique also shared that his management, Star Magic has nothing to do with his decision to avoid sexy projects.
When asked who he wanted to work with in future projects, Enrique replied Sarah Geronimo and Anne Curtis.
