The Miami Heat won their 2nd NBA Championship trophy after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 on NBA Finals Game 5, June 21 (June 22 in Manila). Miami Heat swept the last four games of the supposed best of seven series.
LeBron James, who won as finals MVP led the Heat with 26 points, 11 rebounds and a game-high 13 assists. Miami build a 25-point lead in the third quarter, pulling away from Oklahoma to seal the victor.

Spoelstra’s mother, Elisa Celino hails from San Pablo, Laguna. while his Dutch-Irish-American father, Jon Spoelstra, worked as an executive with various NBA teams.
