Former Kapamilya singer-actor Chris Cayzer auditioned in the Australian version of The X Factor where he received a standing ovation from judge Melanie Brown (a.k.a. Scary Spice of the Spice Girls) and some members of the audience.
Chris Cayzer's The X Factor Australia audition aired Monday night and he just wowed the crowd with an alternative version of Vanessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles.
Melanie Brown said that she's found "something extra special" with Chris Cayzer that she haven’t seen in a long time, adding that Chris could win the whole thing if he's serious with the job.
Boyzone's Ronan Keating also praised the 25-year-old singer while Aussie singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte said that she's happy Chris came back to Australia. Chris Cayzer stayed for 6 years in the Philippines rounding in the country's biggest TV networks. He became part of ABS-CBN's ASAP and GMA-7's SOP before appearing in TV-5's P.O.5.
If the three judges loved Chris' performance and had given him their yeses, first Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian thought otherwise, saying that Chris "would have to grow a lot" for superstardom and gave his "No."
With three yeses and one no, Chris Cayzer made it to the Bootcamp, the show's next round. Watch Chris Cayzer's audition video in The X Factor Australia below:
