The cast of hit ABS-CBN royal teleserye Princess and I will return to Bhutan to shoot for the series finale. According to Enrique Gil, the cast were all excited to shoot the final scenes of Princess and I in Bhutan.
"Lahat kami excited makita 'yung ending ng show, 'yung finale, a big finale, so pag punta namin doon, we're going to shoot it," said Enrique who plays Dasho Jao, a royalty in the fictional Kingdom of Yangdon.
The Princess and I finale will not happen sooner though, even with the revelation of Mikay's (Kathryn Bernardo) real identity as the long-lost crown princess of Yangdon, the climax of the show. On Monday's episode, King Anand had already learned that his daughter was Mikay.
According to lead actress Kathryn Bernardo, there's still a "long journey" ahead for her character since the big revelation is only a climax of the story and there are still challenges ahead in her quest to adjust and learn the ABC's of being a princess.
"Malalaman na rin sa campus na ako 'yung princess. 'Yung mga scenes ngayon namin, ito na 'yung climax, 'yung hinihintay nilang lahat, 'yung revelation, 'yung adjustment ni Mikay sa pagiging princess," Kathryn told ABS-CBN News on the sidelines of the filming of an upcoming episode of Princess and I.
"Mahaba pa 'yung journey ni Mikay," she said, when asked if the soap opera is nearing its end. "Of course hindi lang naman 'yung naging princess siya eh; 'yung buhay niya 'pag princess na siya, and then magsu-shoot kami ulit sa Bhutan," she added.
With Princess and I extended for quite a bit, we can expect more twists and turns happening on the life of our teen princess. Also starring Daniel Padilla, Khalil Ramos, Albert Martinez and Gretchen Barretto, Princess and I airs weeknights on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
