The 6th Star Magic Ball (2012) happens tonight, September 1 at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Sangri-La Hotel where the stars of ABS-CBN's talent management arm Star Magic gather altogether to celebrate 20 years of the country's premier star maker.
Hosted by Piolo Pascual, John Lapus and John Lloyd Cruz, the 2012 Star Magic Ball will not only be attended by Star Magic’s current roster of top talents but also artists whom they have helped shaped and launched careers since the management center began in 1992. Also expected to attend the grand event are famous names in the industry from directors, film and television producers to entrepreneurs and network executives.
One of the highlights of the annual ball is the red carpet on which attendees will be showcasing their fabulous ball gowns and suits made specially by the country's top fashion designers. This year, the stars will be dressed to the nines in black and white ensembles.
Other highlights include the yearly cotillon which introduces Star Magic’s up and coming artists and the launch of the Star Magic Catalogue 2013, where guests will get a first look at its newest star portfolio. Special song numbers will also be rendered by Sam Milby, Khalil Ramos, Xian Lim, Vina Morales, Erik Santos, Jovit Baldivino, Nyoy Volante, Bugoy Dirlon, Liezel Garcia, Richard Poon, Yeng Constantino, and Angeline Quinto with The Maestro, Ryan Cayabyab. A special tribute also goes to those people who work behind the camera, the ones making every artists’ success possible and the much-awaited awarding ceremony where the exceptional celestials of the night will receive deserved honors.
Of course, the glitz and the glamour of Star Magic's 20 years will not be completed without the issues that will arise from the annual ball wherein new tandems and couple will be discovered and the hunt for the best- and worst-dressed of the evening.
