After her controversial and top-rating “Maalaala Mo Kaya” ‘Manika’ episode last 2012 that tackled about a young girl raped in front of her mother, Kapamilya teen star Jane Oineza returns to “MMK” this Saturday (January 12) to once again touch the hearts and empower TV viewers through her role as April, a teenager who was born with cerebral palsy.
Despite her condition, April was able to live a somewhat normal life with the strong support from her family, especially from her younger brother Dhayveed (Kyle Balili). The siblings’ love for each other remained steadfast especially when they started schooling, but not until they reached high school. Because of April’s condition, Dhayveed’s classmates’ perception towards him has also been affected to the point that he was being ridiculed which consequently affected his relationship with April. Without anyone to take care of her, how long can April survive in a ‘world’ filled with ruthless people?
In her newest “MMK” episode, Jane will team up once again with writer Benson Logronio and director Nuel Crisostomo Naval, the same duo who created the much talked about ‘Manika’ episode. This Saturday’s episode was researched by Agatha Lee Ruadap.
Aside from Jane and Kyle, the upcoming “MMK” episode will feature Blythe Brillantes, Joshen Bernardo, Bing Davao and Susan Africa.
