Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2012) 1st week top grosser Sisterakas is truly a huge box office success and Kris Aquino might have regretted investing only 6% in the comedy film.
Aside from Star Cinema and Viva Films, the lead stars of Sisterakas Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino and Ai Ai Delas Alas also shared a sum of money for the film's production. Among the three, the comedy queen had the biggest investment.
Ai Ai Delas Alas has the 12.5% share in investment while Kris and Vice Ganda both have a little over 6% share for the film.
In a reply to a fan, Kris Aquino said that she wanted to invest more in the film.
"I wanted to invest more but Star Cinema has 50%, Viva 25% & the remaining 25 divided among @vicegandako, AiAi & me," Kris tweeted. "Ai Ai will earn the most among the 3 of us- she had biggest investment!," she replied to another.
According to Kris Aquino, Sisterakas had already grossed P207.3 million on its first week of showing in theaters. The movie set a record-high P39.2 million gross on its first day in cinemas, the highest opening gross for any Filipino film in history.
