Kapamilya star Sam Concepcion won at the 2012 Dahsyat Musik Awards held in Indonesia. Sam bagged "The Most Awesome Guest Star" award in the morning musical variety show Dahsyat which airs daily on Indonesia's RCTI Network.
Sam Concepcion's guesting in RCTI's Dahsyat happened in June last year. The singer-actor performed then a song and dance showcase of his single "Forever Young" and Chris Brown's "Yeah 3X," backed up by the Rocket Crew dancers.
Sam's Dahsyat guesting made it to the top trending Twitter topics in Indonesia.
Following his popularity in Indonesia along with other local artists such as Christian Bautista, Sam Concepcion will be dedicating time this year to establish his international career in the said country. In fact, he had already local agents to handle his career and penetrate Indonesia's entertainment scene.
"Part of 2013, it will be dedicated to my international career, lots of plans going on in Indonesia for my career there," Sam, who will be releasing a brand new album soon, told Push.com.
Sam, after performing a few times in Indonesia found that Indonesian fans were very similar to us as they also love music a lot. This year, Sam will be more visible in the Indonesian entertainment scene as he is set to do a number of projects there. According to reports, Sam will be working on a TV series, recording, and commercial endorsements in Indonesia.
