The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) did not impose any sanction on Anne Curtis' wet look number on ASAP 18. The controversial production number aired on ASAP's February 24 episode.
The said birthday prod saw Anne Curtis wearing a sexy high-slit outfit while singing under an artificial rain, making an illusion that she has no underwear. The actress-host however, cleared that she wore a two-piece with a protector (a tangga underneath the skirt) so it is impossible that her privates will make a debut on national TV.
Although MTRCB did not sanction ASAP 18, its hosts and staff will have to undergo a gender-sensitivity seminar on March 15 under the supervision of the MTRCB and the Commission of Women.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN has released an official statement about the issue through its Head of Corporate Communications Bong Osorio (read below).
“ABS-CBN will continue to cooperate with the MTRCB and ensure that its programs will be in accordance with the gender sensitivity guidelines of the board. ABS-CBN thanks the board for hearing its side of the issue as it gives its assurance to self-regulate.”
