ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime” is now the most watched noontime show in the country as it zoomed to the top in May with an average national TV rating of 15.2%, compared to GMA’s “Eat Bulaga” with only 12.9%, based on the latest data from Kantar Media.
The performance of “It’s Showtime” was boosted by its hit segment “Kalokalike,” which held its semi-finals for two weeks before its much-anticipated grand finals last Saturday (June 1).
The “Kalokalike” grand finals earned a notably high 26.8% national TV rating, while “Eat Bulaga” only managed 13.2%.
Fresh from its success, the Twitter-trending segment kicked off its new season called “Kalokalike Face 2” yesterday as it continues to search for the wackiest impersonators and look-alikes of local and international celebrities.
