Ella Cruz Wants to be a Flight Attendant

Aryana lead star Ella Cruz admits that she is a bit pressured with the public’s expectations of her being a good role model to her young fans.

But instead of being discouraged, ABS-CBN’s newest primetime princess takes in the pressure positively to be more determined to do her best for their show’s loyal followers. “I really want to be an inspiration to every generation, especially to little kids who have big dreams like mine. I want them to realize that they can also make their dreams happen,” said Ella.

Ella, who is an incoming 4th year high school student, also hopes that through “Aryana” she can motivate her fans to focus and at the same time enjoy their school days. “Hopefully they will be inspired to excel in their studies and at the same time be active in their chosen extra-curricular activities like Aryana’s character,” she shared.

Amid her newfound fame, Ella knows that the glitz and glamour of showbiz is not forever. And just like her fellow tweens, the “Aryana” star also has her dream job and that is to fly. She confessed, “I want to become a flight attendant. I want to travel and explore the different parts of the world.”

Meanwhile, the blooming love teams of “Aryana”–Aryana and Marlon (Paul Salas); and Megan (Michelle Vito) and Hubert (Dom Roque)–have also quickly won the hearts of the primetime viewers especially the youth. Can Marlon still win back Aryana’s attention now that she is stuck with the campus heartthrob Hubert? Will Megan hate her half-sister even more when she realizes that the guy that she likes is interested with Aryana?

Kantar Media (May 29-31) TV Ratings: Princess and I Now Closer to Walang Hanggan, Aryana Gets 20+ Rating

Princess and I inched closer to the number 1 program nationwide Walang Hanggan as the former registered 33.6% TV rating compared to the latter's 37.9% ratings last Thursday, May 31 according to the data from Kantar Media/TNS for the period of May 29-31.

Princess and I now gets more exciting with rivals Dasho Jao (Enrique Gil), Gino (Daniel Padilla) and Kiko (Khalil Ramos) doing all they can for Mikay's (Kathryn Bernardo) approval.  Meanwhile, Ella Cruz' Aryana now enjoys more than 20% TV rating, an indication of the show's increasing popularity.

ABS-CBN's coverage of Chief Justice Renato Corona's trial was also watched by most Filipinos last May 29.

Ella Cruz Tagged as ABS-CBN's Newest Primetime Princess, Doesn't Mind Comparison with Kathryn and Julia

ABS-CBN’s newest primetime princess and “Aryana” lead star Ella Cruz doesn’t mind being compared to her former “Goin’ Bulilit” co–stars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, who are now both lead stars to their own Kapamilya teleseryes, “Princess and I” and “Walang Hanggan,” respectively.

“I believe it’s just normal to be compared to them, especially that we are all doing the same thing. I’m open to other people’s comments as long as it will help me become a better actress. And as for Kathryn and Julia, I am really happy for their success and it inspires me a lot,” Ella said.

According to Ella, her show’s consistent high ratings somehow makes her nervous and at the same time more driven to improve on her craft. She said, “I will continue to improve my talent for the avid TV viewers of ‘Aryana.”

Meanwhile, after getting disowned by his father Victor (Tonton Gutierrez), will Aryana finally give up on her dream of having a complete family? How will her life change when Neptuna’s (Desiree del Valle) curse already transforms her into a mermaid?

Kantar Media (May 26-28) TV Ratings: Hiyas Pilots Moderately, Aryana Soars Higher!

ABS-CBN's newest afternoon program, Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Hiyas debuted moderately according to the TV ratings provided by Kantar Media for the period of May 26-28. The Zanjoe-Megan starrer Hiyas' pilot episode garnered 13.8%, enough to topple It Started With A Kiss 2 to make it to the top 6 afternoon programs last May 28.

Meanwhile, Aryana hits highest rating of 19.1%, beating Alice Bungisngis by mile. Walang Hanggan is still the most-watched Philippine program followed by Princess and I.

Last weekend, MMK and Rated K were the top programs, with ABS-CBN shows occupying the top 4 most-watched primetime programs on Sunday, including Sarah G Live, GGV anniversary and PBB Teens 4 6th nomination night. With that though, GMA-7 still holds daytime supremacy.

Kantar Media (May 22-25) TV Ratings: Walang Hanggan Makes Historic 40.8% Rating

ABS-CBN's Walang Hanggan made history for hitting its highest TV rating since the show started in January 2012. Walang Hanggan garnered 40.8% TV rating last May 23. It continued its high ratings days after with more than 39%.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Primetime Bida is still the primetime of Filipinos. Aryana, TV Patrol, Princess and I, Walang Hanggan, Dahil Sa Pag-ibig and PBB Teen Edition 4 all won over their rival programs, making it to the top 5 most-watched primetime programs nationwide.

Ella Cruz' Aryana Hits Highest TV Rating! Dom Roque as Hubert Enters the Scene

Newest Kapamilya primetime princess Ella Cruz has truly captured the hearts of TV viewers as her drama series “Aryana” soars higher in the national TV ratings.

According to the latest data from Kantar Media, ABS-CBN’s newest fantaserye has reached 19% national TV rating, its highest national TV rating so far, compared to the 11.5% of of its rival program in GMA, “Alice Bungisngis.”

“Aryana”s magical ‘tail’ is off to entice its avid viewers even more with the exciting twists and turns in the lives of the well-loved tween mermaid Aryana (Ella). Now that Aryana’s attention was caught by her new classmate Hubert, played by newest Kapamilya teen star Dom Roque (learn more about him here), will she be caught in a love triangle between Dom and her best friend Marlon (Paul Salas)? What change will Hubert bring in Aryana’s life? How will he affect the relationship of best friends Marlon and Aryana?

Kantar Media (May 18-21) TV Ratings: MMK and Rated K on Top, Walang Hanggan Hits 38.4%

ABS-CBN shows once again dominated nationwide TV ratings for the period of May 18-21, 2012 according to Kantar Media/TNS. MMK starring Rayver Cruz and Joseph Marco is the most watched program last May 19 while Rated K is number 1 last May 20.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Primetime Bida slays GMA Telebabad despite the premiere of a new show, Luna Blanca. The phenomenal Walang Hanggan topped weekday viewing, hitting a record-high 38.4% last night, May 21.  Princess and I also posted its season high rating of 33.3%. This was followed by TV Patrol and Dahil Sa Pag-ibig. Ella Cruz' Aryana also maintained its patron viewers and is expected to get high ratings with the addition of a new character, Hubert (Dom Roque) playing the third wheel in Aryana-Marlon tandem.
