Angel Locsin on Working with Angelica Panganiban Again: "Huwag muna natin pag-usapan"

Angel Locsin avoids discussing her alleged rift with One More Try co-star Angelica Panganiban. The two-time Star Awards for Movies Best Actress however denied that the said rift was the reason why Angelica Panganiban is no longer part of their supposed film with Bea Alonzo and Toni Gonzaga which starts shooting soon.

"Naisip ko nga no, parang nagkaron nga ng kulay ngayon. Pero hindi namin iniisip kasi hindi kami ganon magisip kapag may katrabaho ka. Basta kami masaya lang kami, excited lang kami na bigyan kami ng trabaho,” Angel told Push.com.ph.

The gap between Angel and Angelica allegedly stemmed from an incident while filming for their MMFF 2012 entry. Rumors said that Angel was badly hurt after Angelica slapped and pulled her hair in the movie's confrontation scene.

Angel told the website that she and Angelica have not met until now and will not elaborate more about her working relationship with the Apoy Sa Dagat lead star since it will not do good on both parties.

When asked if she is willing to work with Angelica again, Angel replied: "Huwag na muna natin pagusapan."

Meanwhile, Angelica Panganiban was replaced by Shaina Magdayao in the upcoming Star Cinema movie. Enchong Dee will also be part of the movie. The cast had their story conference recently and Angel said she's very excited to start shooting for the film which will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

"Nung binabasa ko 'yung script, konsepto pa lang parang ang saya-saya panoorin. Makaka-relate ang mga tao. Ang magkakapatid kasi kahit gaano kaiba ang personalities, mayroon pa ring similarities. Paano kaya namin ito gagawin? Na-imagine ko na talaga. Ang ganda," she said.

Angel Locsin and Bea Alonzo Movie in the Works

Angel Locsin and Bea Alonzo are set to star in an upcoming movie this 2013. Bea, herself confirmed in an interview with showbiz insider MJ Felipe that the said Star Cinema movie is already in the works.

According to reports, the Angel-Bea movie will start shooting this February although information on the story and their roles are still scarce. What we know is that the movie will surely be a huge one with the combined dramatic prowess of these two amazing actresses.

In an earlier interview with Push, Bea said that she's up to a competition with Angel, but a healthy one. Working with an acclaimed actress such as Angel, who's nominated at the International Emmy's is a privilege, according to her.

"Kung magkakaroon man ng competition, healthy competition siguro para ma-push namin yung isa’t isa beyond our limits. Hindi ako magpapakaimpokrita at sabihing wala talaga lalo na dahil magka-batch kami. But it’s a healthy competition and I wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her. Siyempre ang gusto ko yung pareho kaming may maipapakitang bago. I think she’s a good actress. Siyempre na-nominate nga siya sa International Emmy Awards ‘di ba? Who wouldn’t want to work with someone like her?"

It is not known whether the planned Angel-Bea-Angelica-Toni movie will still push through although Angel and Angelica had already worked together in One More Try so it's now time for both Angel and Bea to star in one movie.

'A Beautiful Affair' Now On Its Last 2 Weeks

Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz's comeback teleserye A Beautiful Affair is now on its last two weeks. The 'Beautiful Finale' is set to happen this January 18. 

Perhaps one of the expensive teleseryes produced by ABS-CBN, this Bea-Lloydie reunion teleserye even shot scenes in other countries, particularly in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria and in Japan, scenes of which will be witnessed on its last week.

Many fans might be surprised that the series, which is one of the most-awaited teleseryes last year will be coming to an end this early. A Beautiful Affair premiered on October 29, 2012 and early reports claimed that this will air for more than 20 weeks. However, that is not the case as it aired only for 3 months.

According to reports, the sudden ending of A Beautiful Affair is due to its lead actor John Lloyd Cruz being busy with his movie opposite Sarah Geronimo titled It Takes A Man and A Woman. The third installment of A Very Special Love, the said movie has resumed shooting and is on target for release second quarter of 2012.

On the other hand, many netizens commented that the reason the series was cut short is because of its poor ratings right after the Vienna scenes were aired. It was evident that A Beautiful Affair suffered a decline in TV ratings a month after its pilot. Other opined that the story was not focused more on Bea and John Lloyd but on the business side. Somehow, the story became conventional and boring as what they said.

Whatever the reason it ended so soon, we fans will always be thankful for bringing again Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz together in the boob tube.

'The Mistress' is the Highest-Grossing Filipino Film for 2012, 3rd Highest-Grossing Film of All Time

Star Cinema's The Mistress starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo is the highest-grossing Filipino film for 2012 with a box office gross of P262.82 million. The Olivia Lamasan movie ranked third in the list of highest-grossing local movies of all time, next to The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin and No Other Woman.

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's 'La Promesse' Bracelet' Available at Karat World

After the "Walang Hanggan" infinity ring comes another piece of jewelry called the "La Promesse", inspired by ABS-CBN's primetime hit, "A Beautiful Affair".

Crafted by Karat World, the "La Promesse" is a sterling silver bracelet that celebrates the romance between on-screen tandem John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. The elegant jewelry plays an integral role in the drama, both as a part of the plot and as a symbol of true love.

The La Promesse symbolizes Leon's (Cruz) vow to win Genevieve's (Alonzo) heart anew after the lovers were separated by circumstance and tradition. In "A Beautiful Affair", Leon purchased the piece in Europe before leaving for the Philippines in high hopes that he'll find Genevieve to rekindle their love.

Dennis Trillo Hints About Network Transfer, Chooses ABS-CBN over TV-5

Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo hinted a possible network transfer after his contract with GMA-7 expires about a year from now. In an interview with entertainment website PEP.ph, Dennis said that if he will to choose between ABS-CBN or TV-5, he prefers the former.

"After ng contract na yun, siyempre may mga negotiations, e. So, hindi ko pa alam. Marami pang puwedeng mangyari sa isang taon, so tingnan na lang natin."

If ever his manager Popoy Caritativo opted for him to transfer, Dennis said that it will be fine with him but pinpointed the Kapamilya network as a better choice over the Kapatid network.

"Siguro mas pipiliin ko ABS [CBN]. Ano kasi, e, siyempre yung iisipin mo yung mileage mo bilang artista. Maganda yung mga nangyayari sa ABS, di ba? Shows nila, maraming nanonood. So, baka iyon, kung sakali," Dennis Trillo explained.

If Dennis Trillo decided to transfer to ABS-CBN after his contract expires with GMA-7, then it will be a sort of homecoming.

Dennis Trillo started his showbiz career as a Kapamilya. He is part of Star Magic (then Star Circle Batch 10) with Bea Alonzo, Alfred Vargas and Karel Marquez, among others. He became part of the defunct ABS-CBN teen series K2BU opposite Angelene Aguilar. Bea Alonzo is also part of the show.

Zanjoe Marudo Gets Tense in Playing Kapamilya Deal or No Deal (December 15)

Hunk actor Zanjoe Marudo got tense while playing for P2 million jackpot in the hit game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.” 

Zanjoe chose briefcase 23 based on his birth date. Zanjoe also shared that his girlfriend, Bea Alonzo, was 23 years old when they became a couple.  And on the same day he played, he scored 23 points in golf. Was it just a coincidence?  Or was it a sign?  Will briecase 23 bring him luck?
