Suddenly It's Magic Full Trailer Released!

Star Cinema has just released the full trailer of Suddenly It's Magic starring Thai superstar Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales. Directed by Rory Quintos, the said movie will premiere in the Philippines this October 31, 2012.

The story of Suddenly It's Magic revolves around Marcus Hanson (Mario Maurer) a Thai superstar and Joey Hermosa (Erich Gonzales), a Filipina baker. When Marcus decided to fly to Philippines to escape from his career, he meet Joey. Both broken-hearted, the two will find love again when they least expect it. However, their relationship will be tested by conflicts brought about by their different worlds.

The film also highlights the reunion of Mario Maurer and Crazy Little Thing Called Love leading lady, Baifern Pimchanok Lerwisetpibol.

Star Cinema has started to release behind-the-scenes photos of the much-awaited romatic movie of the year, Suddenly It's Magic starring Erich Gonzales and Thai superstar Mario Maurer.

In Suddenly It’s Magic, Mario plays the role of Marcus, a Thai movie superstar who goes to the Philippines to escape from his frantic lifestyle. He then meets a romantically jaded pastry chef portrayed by Erich and that's when the magic started.

Shot in Paoay, Ilocos Norte and Bangkok, Thailand, Suddenly It's Magic also stars Jestoni Alarcon, Ces Quesada, Joross Gamboa, Guji Lorenzana, Cacai Bautista, Dinkee Doo with the special participation of Baifern Pimchanok, Mario's leading lady in the hit movie Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Erich Gonzales and Mario Maurer Finish Movie Shoot in Thailand

Erich Gonzales and Mario Maurer have finished shooting for their movie Suddenly It's Magic in Bangkok Thailand. The Suddenly It's Magic team had their last shooting day on June 19.

As a goodbye message, Mario shared a photo of him with Erich in his official Twitter account (@ohohmario) with the caption: “Don't forget to support me and erich gonzales for our movie "suddenly it's magic" good bye friend.” 

On their last shooting day, Mario also comforted the staff of the movie who were emotional as they bid farewell. He posted his photo with this caption: “last day for movie I wanna say thx u to all my filipino team don't cry we will see u soon love u.”

Last June 11, Erich flew to Thailand with the movie crew to shoot for scenes in Bangkok.  Erich spent around two weeks in the Thai capital to shoot her scenes with her leading man. The Star Magic actress is scheduled to arrive in the Philippines this Sunday, June 24.

Suddenly It’s Magic is directed by Rory Quintos and produced by Star Cinema.

Aside from shooting scenes in Bangkok, the love team partners also shot for several days in Ilocos. In Suddenly It’s Magic, Mario plays the role of a Thai superstar who goes to the Philippines to escape from his frantic lifestyle. He then meets a romantically jaded pastry chef portrayed by Erich.

Erich Gonzales in Thailand for 'Suddenly It's Magic' Movie Shoot

After filming in Ilocos with Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer, Erich Gonzales is now in Bangkok, Thailand to shoot for their movie, Suddenly It's Magic.

Erich Gonzales left for Thailand together with Suddenly It's Magic staff and crew on Monday, June 11 to continue shooting for the film. Erich said that she will be away for three weeks and stay in Bangkok for the movie's shoot along with other Thai actors.

“I am leaving today, pupunta po akong Bangkok. Magsu-shooting po ako ng Suddenly It’s Magic. Makakasama ko po doon si Mario at iba pang Thai actors. We'll be there for three weeks po ata. Halfway through na (kami sa shooting). So far so good,” said Erich in an interview with ABS-CBN news.

Previous reports confirmed that Mario Maurer's leading lady in Crazy Little Thing Called Love Baifern Pimchanok (aka Nam) will also be part of Suddenly It's Magic in a special guest starring role (read related article here).

Erich and Mario had recently finished their movie shoot in Ilocos. Erich revealed that Mario is very fun to be with, cool and playful. She also said that the Thai superstar works hard to perfect his Tagalog lines in the movie.

Erich is now looking forward to shooting in Bangkok, Thailand because it will be some sort of a vacation as they will make rounds on Bangkok's beautiful landmarks and will taste its native delicacies for the Suddenly It's Magic shoot.

In  Suddenly It's Magic, Erich plays a romantically jaded Filipina baker who meets a Thai superstar (Mario Maurer) who visits the Philippines to escape from his busy career (more on their roles in the movie here).

Baifern Pimchanok Lerwisetpibol who is popularly known as Nam of the hit movie Crazy Little Thing Called Love will be reunited with her First Love: A Little thing Called Love leading man Mario Maurer via the movie Suddenly It's Magic.

According to PR Asia Worldwide, Baifern Pimchanok will have a guest starring role in Suddenly It's Magic, Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales' movie under Star Cinema.

Many thought that Mario and Baifern will be reunited again on the sequel of Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Pretty sure fans will be lining up in cinemas for Suddenly It's Magic not only because it was a romantic and feel-good movie but also because of Mario and Baifern. Of course, we can't exclude the fact that Erich and Mario do have chemistry together, based on their movie stills.

Thai superstar Mario Maurer and Filipina actress Erich Gonzales had their first interview in Bangkok, Thailand after the story conference for their movie Suddenly It's Magic. 

The movie, which will be helmed by director Rory Quintos, will be shot in Ilocos, philippines and Bangkok Thailand.

Erich Gonzales will play the role of a pastry chef who just got out of a bad relationship. This made her a little jaded or bitter when it comes to love. Erich character then will meet this Thai guy who will change her life, the magic begins.

Meanwhile, Mario Maurer will play a role very close to his status, a Thai superstar who is working in the movies. This movie star will then get bored of the career that he made, deciding one day to take a vacation somewhere and in the Philippines, he found the magic he's looking for.

Erich and Mario Maurer's Movie to shoot in Bangkok and Ilocos

Actress Erich Gonzales flew to Bangkok, Thailand this week together with director Rory Quintos to meet with Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer  for the story conference of their movie with the working title Suddenly It's Magic.

Erich and Mario's movie, Suddenly It's Magic tells the story of a romantically jaded Filipina baker who is changed when she meets a Thai superstar who visits the Philippines to escape from his busy career.

Erich Gonzales will play the role of a Pinay businesswoman who runs her own bakeshop.

“My character here, I own a bakeshop. I’m actually a pastry chef. I just got out of a bad relationship that’s why I became a little jaded or bitter when it comes to love. Then I meet this Thai guy who will change my life, and so that’s where the magic begins,” Erich said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Meanwhile, Mario Maurer will play Marcus, a Thai movie star who will get tired of the lime light and finds way to live in peace somewhere far away.

“My character’s name is Marcus, and he’s a Thai superstar. He works in the movie business, [but] he gets bored of the career that he made, and one day he just decided he wants to go somewhere, like the Philippines, and that’s when the magic starts,” Mario Maurer said.

The said movie will be shot in location at Bangkok, Thailand and Ilocos, Philippines. Mario will be returning to the country in May for Suddenly It's Magic movie shoot.

Could there be a possibility that Mario will court Erich on the course of their movie shoot as some movie team ups ended up? Well, Erich is quick to say that they will just remain friends even after the shoot as Mario has a girlfriend already.

“Everybody knows that he has a longtime girlfriend, and I really admire their relationship, and we’re here to work and to have fun, and definitely we’ll be close friends even after this,” Erich told ABS-CBN news coming to the rescue for Mario who was asked the question.

Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang 2nd Week Gross: PhP 40.42 Million

Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang grossed P40.42 million on its second week of showing in Philippine theaters according to the data provided by Box Office Mojo (BOM) for the period of March 21-25, 2012.

The Erich Gonzales and Derek Ramsay movie was hailed as the number 1 movie for the said period, beating Disney's John Carter (which reigned for 2 weeks) and the most anticipated movie, The Hunger Games which debuted at no. 3. Corazon debuted at no. 2 on its first week of release.

Meanwhile, My Kontabida Girl managed to gross an additional P3.29 million raking P12.02 million in 2 weeks.

Erich Gonzales will Bake in Movie with Mario Maurer

Actress Erich Gonzales will have to learn the art of baking in preparation for her upcoming movie with Thai superstar Mario Maurer. 

In the movie tentatively titled Suddenly It's Magic, Erich will play the role of a Pinay businesswoman who runs her own bakeshop. Erich is currently attending baking lessons but according to her, she will not have a hard time learning the skill since she knew how to cook.

"Yes, I cook also so sa baking medyo madali na siya. Kailangan lang maging accurate ka sa measurement and sa lahat."

Erich will start shooting for the movie after her Star Magic Concert tour at the Waikiki Shell in Hawaii. She will be going to Thailand for a series of filming while Mario will also be going back to the Philippines for another series of shoot.

Erich is thankful with Star Cinema for entrusting her such big project. The movie will be directed by Rory B. Quintos, who is also Erich's director in her teleserye, Maria La Del Barrio.

Erich Gonzales and Derek Ramsay's movie, Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang grosses P20.52 million on its first 5 days of showing according to third party tabulator, Box Office Mojo (BOM). Corazon debuted at the number 2 spot after John Carter which remains as the number 1 film in the Philippines for 2 weeks now. Corazon tops the box office gross of another hollywood debuting film, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax which only managed to gross P12.87 million.

Meanwhile, another Pinoy film debuted on the said period (March 14-18), GMA Films' My Kontrabida Girl starring Rhian Ramos and Aljur Abrenica which grossed a modest P6.72 million.
