ABS-CBN, in the tradition of well-planned and big teleseryes brings you Kahit Puso'y Masugatan. Starring Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca, Andi Eigenmann and Mr. Gabby Concepcion, Kahit Puso'y Masugatan will premiere this July 2012.

In Kahit Puso'y Masugatan, Iza Calzado and Andi Eigenmann will play the role of street kids in Quaipo, Manila. They grew up being best of friends until Andi was adopted by Gabby Concepcion's character. While Andi enjoys a better life, Iza remained to be a simple woman. They will meet the character of Jake Cuenca which will start a conflict between the two.

Andi Eigenmann Leads 'Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan' Cast

Andi Eigenmann is set to topbill another big project of the Kapamilya network. This time, ABS-CBN put together Andi Eigenmann, Iza Calzado, Gabby Concepcion and Jake Cuenca in yet another winner teleserye on primetime, Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan (or Kahit Puso'y Masugatan).

Last May 7, the cast of Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan, Andi Eigenmann, Iza Calzado, Gabby Concepcion and Jake Cuenca had their look test and pictorial for their newest teleserye.

Andi was so kind to share some of their look test photos on Twitter. 

Still thankful with the praises his new afternoon series Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo has been getting, Jake Cuenca said he continues to challenge himself with every new role that comes his way.

“I’m honored, I’m very happy that ABS-CBN again has given me another great project like this,” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN news.

“I just continue to do my best, I just continue to challenge myself when it comes to portraying my roles. I just keep on trying to make the roles, each portrayal of mine different.”

Andi in her Agua Bendita days expressed how much  he wanted to work with Jake Cuenca in the future as the guy was his dream leading man. With this big project at hand together with Iza Calzado and Gabby Concepcion, Andi is living her dream, despite recent controversies she's into.

Before Andi and Jake's name figured as member's of the cast, there were reports that Angel Locsin and Derek Ramsay will be part of the series together with Iza and Gabby. It was last March when it was confirmed that Andi and Jake will be starring in this soap, prior to Derek Ramsay's transfer to TV5 and Angel Locsin's contract renewal with ABS-CBN.

Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan will be Iza Calzado's first teleserye on ABS-CBN and the comeback teleserye of Gabby Concepcion on the Kapamilya network. The series will be helmed by Wenn V. Deramas.

Iza had been a favorite of magazines nowadays to be their cover girl, what with her Look Magazine and Inside Showbiz magazine covers. 

In this April 2012 MOD issue, Iza flaunts a classic beauty with a fierce talent. As we all know, Iza is not only a good actress but a dancer as well.

Iza has been in the Kapamilya netwrok for about 2 months already and she is visible in ASAP 2012 where she always has a dance number. Her upcoming projects include hosting The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition and a teleserye with Gabby Concepcion, Andi Eigenmann and Jake Cuenca.

Jake Cuenca and Andi Eigenmann Teams Up for Teleserye

Actor Jake Cuenca is set to headline another ABS-CBN teleserye that will feature his first team-up with actress Andi Eigenmann.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Eigenmann revealed that her comeback project will not only feature new and returning Kapamilya stars Iza Calzado and Gabby Concepcion, but will also have Cuenca as her newest love interest on screen.

Still over the moon about his new afternoon soap “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo,” Cuenca said he continues to challenge himself with every new role that comes his way.

“I’m honored, I’m very happy that ABS-CBN again has given me another great project like this,” he said.

“I just continue to do my best, I just continue to challenge myself when it comes to portraying my roles. I just keep on trying to make the roles, each portrayal of mine different.”

With the upwards trajectory of his career, Cuenca believes it’s his destiny to become an actor.

“I love what I do. Mahal na mahal ko talaga trabaho ko. This is my craft, this is something I believe I’m destined to do, and I want to do it for a long time. I just never stop learning. It’s a never ending learning experience for me,” he said.

“You’re only as good as your last role, so as much as possible, sa lahat ng role na ibibigay sa ’kin, I want to be good. More than being good, I just want to give life to all these characters. Gusto ko talaga bigyan ng kulay, ng hustisya lahat ng ginagagampanan ko.”

Before he is paired with Eigenmann, Cuenca is set to “give justice” to the character of Paul in “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo.”

Pokwang Topbills 'The Mommy Returns'

Regal Entertainment releases the poster and trailer for their upcoming Mothers' Day movie offering, The Mommy Returns. The said movie will star Pokwang, Gabby Concepcion, Ruffa Guttierez, John 'Sweet' Lapus Jillian Ward, Kiray Celis and Gerald Pesigan.

The Mommy Returns is a family comedy-horror movie about a mother, Ruby (Pokawang) who dies right on the day of her 25th wedding anniversary with gorgeous husband, William (Gabby Concepcion). With her untimely death, she is temporarily trapped in PURGA (short for Purgatory) with its guardian, Dyoga (John Lapus, ang diyosa ng purga) and the pesky Manny, the chicken pet of San Pedro.

Enter Catherine (Ruffa Guttierez) - a younger, fresher, and much, much prettier woman who comes into the life of William. When she threatens to take Ruby's place as mother to her three beloved children (Kiray Celis, Gerald Pesigan and Jillian Ward), hell (er, purgatory) breaks loose as Ruby escapes back to earth as a ghost to scare and drive Catherine out of the family she left behind!

What follows is a riot of scary antics and tactics that will prove that "hell hath no fury like a dead woman," especially if she is a mother who can't leave her children behind!

Directed by Joel Lamangan and from a screenplay by Senedy Que, The Mommy Returns will open in theaters this May 9.

Gabby Concepcion, Iza Calzado and Andi Eigenmann Teleserye to Shoot this April

Actor Gabby Concepcion is back as a Kapamilya for a new teleserye! 

Gabby signed a contract with ABS-CBN yesterday, March 28 for this upcoming series. According to the actor, he will be joined by Iza Calzado, Andi Eigenmann and another one which is yet to be revealed.

Gabby Concepcion also said in an interview with ABS-CBN news that they will start taping for the said TV series this April although nothing is final yet on when it will air.

Prior to this confirmation, there are reports that Gabby has been offered by GMA-7 a role in Richard Guttierez' upcoming series but the actor declined because he wanted to star opposite Iza Calzado. Gabby himself admitted in the interview that he loved the story of this new series with Iza and Andi.

"Magaling gumawa ang ABS-CBN ng story. Kahit noong una pa akong dumating noong 2008, napapanood ko, magaling."

According to Iza Calzado, the director of this upcoming teleserye will be box-office director Wenn V. Deramas.

As to identity of the mystery lead cast, we can only hope that it is Angel Locsin as Gabby, Iza and Derek were once rumored to be doing a teleserye entitled Kapag Puso'y Sinugatan. However, the odds that the remaining lead is a male actor is high. Iza and Gabby then Andi and who?

Is Andi's teleserye with Jessy Mendiola and Enchong Dee already shelved? Well, that is what we need to find out the coming weeks. For now, let's be happy that another teleserye with top caliber actors is coming our way this year.

Angel Locsin, Iza Calzado and Gabby Concepcion in A Teleserye?

How true that Iza Calzado will be joining Angel Locsin and Gabby Concepcion in one teleserye? Showbiz insiders now claimed that Gabby Concepcion will be back to the Kapamilya network to play Iza Calzado's love interest in the teleserye Kapag Puso'y Sinugatan which will have Angel Locsin as main lead. It is said that Derek Ramsay will play Angel's leading man in the series which will be directed by Wenn Deramas.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Iza revealed that she is about to start for the shoot of her first teleserye in ABS-CBN sometime in March or April. Although very excited about the project, Iza said that she cannot divulge anything yet about the theme or the casting. All she has to say is that she will play a role here that is new and she hasn't played yet.

Many reports also claimed that Gabby's return to ABS-CBN is now final as he refused to accept offers from rival GMA network. According to insiders, Gabby was offered to play Richard Guttierez's father in the latters upcoming series in the Kapuso network but Gabby had chosen to return as a Kapamilya to star opposite Iza Calzado in Kapag Puso'y Sinugatan.

Meanwhile, many Angel fans will get excited if they hear this news as their idol will be back on Primetime. It has been months (or even a year) after Angel was seen on a weekday teleserye. Her last was Imortal with John Lloyd Cruz which received positive reviews and high TV ratings, even toppling down at most 5 competitor programs from rival network. 

About Derek Ramsay being included in the cast, this could be a good news since he was reported to be transferring to TV-5. Probably, Derek finally decided to stay where he will be most valued at and where he will have better projects and exposure.

The said series is said to be under PBB Genius, Laurenti Dyogi's business unit.

Lauren Young is Olivia Pereira in 'Mula sa Puso' Remake

Teen actress Lauren Young will be playing the role of Via in the much anticipated remake of the ABS-CBN classic series 'Mula sa Puso'. Lauren (sister of tv host-actress Megan Young) is a member of Star Magic Batch 13 and remained one of the network's best bets. She appeared in several kapamilya shows such as 'Abt ur Love', 'Underage' and 'Juanita Banana.' She also do some episodes of MMK. The 'Mula sa Puso' remake will be Lauren's biggest break in showbiz and will verify her real value as an actress.

JM De Guzman (Kristine Series, Alyna) will be playing the late Rico Yan's role as Gabriel, Via's love and Enrique Gil will play Michael (last portrayed by Diether Ocampo) to complete the love triangle.

Mula sa Puso remake also features the Tv comback of Gabby Concepcion as Fernando Pereira (Via's father) and Dawn Zulueta as Inay Magda (Via's biological mother). The role of the wicked 'Selina' (magnanimously played by Princess Punzalan) will be played by returning kapamilya star Eula Valdes.
