Award-winning actress Maricar Reyes recently joined the cast of the country’s no.1 daytime program “Be Careful With My Heart.”

“I’m happy to be part of the show especially because its story is so light and feel-good,” said Maricar, who plays the role of Rafi, Sir Chief’s (Richard Yap) best friend. “This time, I’ll try a new and fun-loving character. I hope the viewers will like Rafi.”

ABS-CBN Widens It's Reach In More Than 10 Provinces

ABS-CBN Corporation, the country’s largest and leading multimedia conglomerate, has started expanding its reach nationwide building more than ten new relay stations and enhancing the TV and radio coverage of its existing regional stations.

ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (RNG) head Louis Benedict Bennett said ABS-CBN will soon expand in areas such as Oriental Mindoro, Davao Oriental, Antique, and Negros Occidental while the TV power upgrades and antenna retrofit enhancements in Tacloban, Dagupan, Baguio, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro are underway.

“We are thrilled to announce that ABS-CBN will pioneer the building of new stations in these areas. These new relay stations will also receive locally produced shows, something the rival networks don’t have,” said Bennett.

The local shows produced by ABS-CBN RNG include newscasts, morning programs, game shows, and local public service programs that feature homegrown talents and stories that happen in their region.

For instance, he pointed out that ABS-CBN RNG’s youngest regional station in Palawan already airs locally relevant news and original content through “TV Patrol” and “Mag TV Na.”

To date, the Kapamilya network has the most expansive regional reach in the country with its established stations in Luzon (Appari, Batanes, Tuguegarao, Baguio, Pampanga, Dagupan, Batangas, Laoag, Isabela, Naga, Legazpi, and Palawan) Visayas (Cebu, Bacolod, Tacloban , Roxas, Kalibo, Dumaguete, and Iloilo) and Mindanao (Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, Zamboanga, Iligan, Cotabato, Dipolog, Koronadal, and General Santos).

Some of today’s hottest Kapamilya stars, meanwhile, will celebrate the Peñafrancia Festival with Bicolanos at the Plaza Quezon, Naga City this Saturday (September 8) at 4:00 p.m. Stars of the top-rating daytime show “Be Careful With My Heart” Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. In the Visayas, ABS-CBN’s primetime viewership averaged 56% vs GMA’s 25%, while in Mindanao, it registered 62% as compared to GMA’s 18%.

Philippine’s no.1 daytime program “Be Careful With My Heart” recently reached its all-time high 26.4% national TV ratings last Tuesday (August 21), since it premiered last July. 

Based on the latest data of Kantar Media, the ‘kilig-serye’ topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap registered almost a 16-point lead versus its rival program in GMA, “Chef Boy Logro: Kusina Master” which only got 10.7%.

Be Careful With My Heart, Certified Money-Maker!

ABS-CBN executives recently attested to the unprecedented success of the country’s no.1 daytime TV program “Be Careful With My Heart” as it did not only boost the ratings performance of the network but also contributed in the double-digit growth in airtime revenues that began in August.

“Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria’s soap is turning out to be the biggest surprise hit,” remarked Vivian Tin, ABS-CBN’s head of customer business development group.

According to ABS-CBN chief financial officer Rolando Valdueza, advertising revenues show signs of strengthening in the second half of the year because of the network’s top-rating shows like “Be Careful With My Heart.” He said, “We’re also experiencing double-digit growth in terms of airtime starting August and if we can sustain this by the end of the year, we may exceed P1.3 billion.”

Meanwhile, “Be Careful With My Heart” continues to perform better in the ratings game. Based on the latest data of Kantar Media last Thursday (August 16), the romantic-comedy series is now of the fourth spot of the country’s top overall TV programs with 23% national TV rating, or 16 points higher than its rival program in GMA, “Kapuso Movie Festival” which only got 6.9%.

Since it started airing last July, “Be Careful With My Heart” managed to beat different GMA programs including “Chef Boy Logro: Kusina Master,” “Baker King: The Big Return,” and now “Kapuso Movie Festival.”

Sexy star Iwa Moto goes topless on the cover of Playboy Philippines August 2012 issue. The Starstruck alumna was described as "young, wild and feisty" on the cover photo to which she posed with a race horse.

Wearing black leather skimpy shorts, gloves and knee-high boots, Iwa Moto is a head-turner more so with that sexy angle of covering her bare breasts with her left arm.

Be Careful With My Heart is ABS-CBN's First Series in HD

Aside from its high ratings, daytime soap “Be Careful With My Heart” boasts another distinction: it’s the first Kapamilya series to be filmed with a high-definition camera.

“That explains the glossy look of the show when people watch it on screen, plus we shoot the series film-style so it has the feel, look and magic of a movie,” said Jeffrey Jeturian, one of the directors of the ruling daytime soap.

“Be Careful With My Heart,” which stars Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap, continues to dominate the ratings game, according to Kantar Media.

Breaching the 20 percentage-point mark for audience share nationwide, the romantic-comedy series even beats most of the primetime offerings of competing networks.

“We did not expect that there is a morning audience that big that would propel us everyday to the 5th spot of the top overall TV programs nationwide," Jeturian said.

“The show’s simplicity and feel-good tone was able to capture the audience’s fancy. It doesn’t only leave viewers feeling romantic every time, but also with a smile in their hearts," he added.

Starring Jodi Sta. Maria as Yaya Maya and Richard Yap as "sir-chief" Mr. Lim, "Be Careful with My Heart" airs weekdays at 10:45 a.m. before ABS-CBN's noontime variety program "It's Showtime."

Q: Anong masasabi mo sa natatanging ratings success ng “Be Careful With My Heart?” Inasahan n’yo ba ‘yung mangyari?

Q: Marami ang nakakapansin at pumupuri na kakaibang visual quality ng show, ano ang sikreto nito?

“‘Be Careful With My Heart’ is the first soap of ABS-CBN that is shot on HD or high-definition camera. That explains the glossy look of the show when people watch it onscreen, plus we shoot the series film-style so it has the feel, look, and ‘magic’ of a movie.”

Q: Ano sa palagay nyo kakaibang dulot ng programa sa mga manonood kaya mainit ang pagsuporta nila rito?

“The success of the show can be attributed to a lot of things. First, the soap is effective as a romance comedy. There’s chemistry between Jodi as Maya and Richard as Richard. Jodi is effective as the naive and pure-hearted nanny to the deaf kid of the stern and stone-hearted widower played by Richard. The followers of the soap is looking forward to the day when Maya will be able to melt Richard’s heart.”

“Second, the story’s simplicity and feel-good tone was able to capture the audience’s fancy. The show doesn’t only leave one feeling romantic everytime, but also with a smile in the heart each time.”

Be Careful With My Heart Makes ABS-CBN a Daytime Leader in July

Newest primetanghali romantic-comedy TV series “Be Careful With My Heart,” topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap, has successfully paved way for ABS-CBN to claim daytime (6AM to 6PM) leadership for the entire month of July.

Based on the latest data of Kantar Media, “Be Careful With My Heart” achieved the 15th spot in the country’s top overall programs in July with an average national TV rating of 19.7%.

ABS-CBN’s hit ‘kilig-serye’ did not only top all daytime programs, including independent blocktimer “Eat Bulaga” which only got an average national TV rating of 15.8%; it even outperformed GMA’s primetime TV shows including “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” (15.9%), “Luna Blanca” (15.7%), and “Makapiling Kang Muli” (14.3%).

Since it premiered last July 9, “Be Careful With My Heart” has changed the daytime viewing habit of Filipinos nationwide as it gained a new legion of fans that consistently give the show its primetime-like ratings. In fact, last July 20, the newest TV craze reached its all-time high national TV rating of 23.4%.
