Equator Man Premieres on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold this September 10

They started as best friends and ended up as mortal enemies in life and in love. As they go face-to-face in a long overdue battle for truth, who will win and who will lose?

Beginning this Monday (Sep 10), ABS-CBN premieres another intense story about a man looking for the light of justice amidst his blindness in 2012’s most thrilling Korean drama “Equator Man” (watch the full tagalized trailer here).

Follow the story of Samuel and Jeric, two different individuals who will form a bond of friendship despite their differences— Samuel is the strong, laid back one, while Jeric is the smart and anti-social. The two will unexpectedly get along and become the best of friends. Their friendship, however, will be challenged and destroyed by fate.

Due to compromising circumstances, Jeric’s father accidentally kills Samuel’s guardian. The incident will lead to an altercation between the two unknowing friends, where Jeric ends up hitting Samuel in the head. Jeric then disposes of Samuel’s body by pushing it over a cliff, but the latter managed to survive.

Samuel wakes from unconsciousness only to find out he has lost his sight. He continues his mission to seek justice for his father with the help of Gian, a volunteer reader for visually impaired people who will offer to help him and serve as his eyes.

Fate draws Samuel and Jeric together once more as Jeric carries on his personal mission to hide the truth from a former friend and fights for Gian, the woman he has loved ever since.

Equator Man on ABS-CBN Full Trailer (Tagalized)

ABS-CBN brings you Korea's number 1 action drama for 2012, Equator Man. Dubbed as this year's 'most thrilling Korean drama' Equator Man premieres this September 10 on Kapamilya Gold replacing City Hunter Returns.

Equator Man aired in Korea last March on KBS. It is television series about friendship and rivalry following the story of Samuel Kim who is betrayed and beaten by his best friend Jeric Lee, resulting to coma and blindness. After waking up from his coma of 13 years, he started his quest for revenge and investigates on the reason of his father's death.

Starring Uhm Tae-woong (Sassy Girl Chun Hyang, Queen Seondeok) and Lee Joon-hyuk (I Am Legend, City Hunter), with Lee Hyun-woo (To The Beautiful You - Hana Kimi Korean) and Siwan of ZE:A as the teen Samuel and Jeric, respectively, Equator Man is surely one big K-drama to watch out for.

Music Video: Super Junior's SPY - the 6th Album Repackage

SM Entertainment has released the music video for Super Junior's SPY, the title track of their repackaged 6th album which dropped online August 5th and on shelves the following day.

SPY, the repackaged 6th album contains all the 10 songs from the original 6th jib Sexy, Free & Single with an additional four tracks -- SPY, Outsider, Only U (reportedly composed by Leeteuk and Donghae) and Haru.

Super Junior's sixth album Sexy, Free & Single was released last July and instantly became a hit. The new song, SPY, according to allkpop.com is "an urban dance track that sings of the humorous chase men endure to catch the girl he wants, while incorporating a James Bond 007 feel."

Super Junior's Siwon and Donghae (SiHae) graced the Bench SiHae in Manila event August 15 at the Trinoma Activity center in Quezon City. About 700 fans got the chance of a better view at the event area after winning in the Bench Sihae in Manila promo.

Siwon and Donghae in Manila, Grace TriNoma Bench Event on August 15

Super Junior members Siwon and Donghae (SiHae) arrived in Manila morning of August 14 via Korean Air 621 to grace the #SiHae in Manila Bench event.

Siwon and Donghae were blocked by NAIA customs officer due to lack of coordination by the said clothing line with the airport passenger service causing a bit of delay but despite these minor glitches, Siwon and Donghae's arrival at the airport terminal was warmly welcomed by PhELFS.

Bench also welcomed the two KPOP idols via their official Twitter account:

On their flight to Manila, Donghae (wearing City Hunter's mask) tweeted the photo above saying:

Siwon and Donghae were reportedly staying at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel before they get to meet fans tomorrow, August 15, 5 PM at the TriNoma Activity Center. Only 700 fans who won in Bench's raffle will be allowed to meet and greet SiHae.

Bench also posted some guidelines regarding the SiHae event. Fans are not allowed to bring a professional camera at the venue. Bench also advised fans to save their energy for tomorrow's event but be careful so as not to get hurt during the event.

The music video for Super Junior's 6th jib carrier single Sexy, Free & Single landed at no. 1 for the first time in the MYX international Top 20 for this week's  charts (July 28 to August 3).

Sexy, Free & Single immediately climbed from last week's number 5. It is also topping MYX Daily Top 10 after debuting at number 2 just two days after it premiered on MYX, a feat which trampled the records of their previous singles. Siwon and Donghae to Visit Manila in August for Bench

Super Junior Siwon and Donghae will be coming to Manila this August to honor their endorsement contract with Global clothing brand, Bench.

The good news was confirmed by the Bench CEO himself, Ben Chan in his official Twitter account. Ben Chan shared that Siwon and Donghae (SiHae) event will be happening either August 14 or 15.

"The Sihae [Siwon and Donghae] manager gave us the date. It's Aug 14 or 15," tweeted Ben Chan. He also clarified that Siwon and Donghae will only be in the country for one event. The date, according to Ben Chan was given by SiHae management, SM Entertainment.

The exact date of the event and the arrival of Siwon and Donghae in Manila has not been finalized yet. Ben Chan, in a reply to a fan, said that they might arrive a day earlier or the morning of August 14. A fan also asked if there will be an autograph session for the SiHae in Manila event to which Ben Chan replied, "As of now none yet. No approval pa."

Siwon and Donghae signed as Bench international endorsers last March and since then, fans were craving for their Philippine visit.  Before that, Siwon and Donghae's had their Bench Billboard erected last May 4 and their campaign photos also bannered several Bench stores.

Siwon and Donghae are now busy from filming their own Korean dramas, aside from promoting Super Junior's newly-released 6th album, Sexy, Free & Single. For the official music video, watch here.

Super Junior Sexy, Free & Single Official Music Video Released!

SM Entertainment has just released the official music video for Super Junior's Sexy, Free & Single, the carrier single of Super Junior's 6th album of the same title.

The Super Junior 6th jib was released online via music websites last July 1 and is expected to hit the shelves this July 4. The album contains 10 new Suju tracks which are different from previous Super Junior songs. 

The 6th album marks the return of member Kangin, who was discharged from his mandatory military service in April 2012 but the first one without Heechul, who enlisted in September 2011.  Some said that this will be the last album of leader Leeteuk before he enlist with the military.

The title track Sexy, Free & Single, describes the sexy and free life of a single man in a soulful house genre with an easy and infectious chorus. Although with entirely different beat with the teaser, Sexy, Free & Single  did not disappoint. However, the album cover may be improved from its simplicity.

The 24-second music video teaser for Sexy, Free & Single showed the Super Junior members dancing to beat of a new choreography created by Devin Jamieson who choreographed Michael Jackson's This Is It, which is supposed to be the King of Pop's final concert. The full music video is expected to be unveiled on July 7.

SM Entertainment has released the teaser photos for Super Junior's upcoming 6th album, Sexy, Free & Single which is set to be dropped on July 1, 2012 through various music websites and on July 4 in music stores.

Super Junior's 6th jib (album) Sexy, Free & Single will also mark the return of member Kangin who was just released from his military service last April. However, Heechul, who is now under military service, will not participate in the 6th album.

Since June 21, teaser photos for the upcoming Super Junior 6th album were released starting with Donghae and Eunhyuk's photos. According to reports, the teaser photos theme was that of 'beautiful males' and many are now intrigue of what will be the real theme of the 6th jib.

Kim Soo Hyun (Marco of Dream High) in Star-Studded Film 'The Thieves' (Trailer)

Kim Soo Hyun, more popularly known to us as Marco of Dream High will be part of an upcoming Korean film The Thieves. 

The movie is one of the most anticipated films of 2012 due to its star-studded cast, a mix of Korea's A-list stars which include Lee Jung Jae (The Housemaid), Kim Hye Soo (Villain & Widow), Jeon Ji Hyun (My Sassy Girl), and Kim Soo Hyun (The Moon that Embraces the Sun, Dream High). Other actors in the cast include Kim Yoon-seok, Kim Hae-sook, Simon Yam, Oh Dal-soo, Angelica Lee and Derek Tsang.

The Thieves (also known as The Professionals) is about a group of thieves from Korea and China who's after a rare and expensive diamond (Tear of the Sun) from a Macau casino. While working together to steal this fabled diamond, they all have their own agenda to keep the diamond for themselves.

Kim Soo Hyun and Jeon Ji Hyun had many kissing scenes in the movie and they were featured half-naked and kissing in the trailer. Watch The Thieves trailer below:

Lee Min Ho is Newest Bench Endorser?

Lee Min Ho for Bench, seriously? 

Global brand Bench has been reported to sign another Korean star as its newest Bench international endorser. After getting Super Junior's Siwon and Donghae as it's K-POP models, it is now abuzz that Korean superstar Lee Min Ho will also join the roster of Bench endorsers.

In a Philippine Star article posted June 15, it was confirmed that Bench has signed another popular Korean actor as its newest endorser. The said K-Pop actor "enjoys a huge following in Asia, the Philippines included, and he has starred in several Koreanovelas aired in the country."

Although Philstar's Funfare is not at liberty yet to reveal the identity of the Bench's newest K-Pop endorser, clues were pointing to Lee Min Ho. Even the censored picture posted in the site had resemblance to Lee Min Ho.

Lee Min Ho became popular in the Philippines playing Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, a hit Korean remake of the popular Manga, Hana Yori Dango. He then starred in two other Koreanovelas aired on ABS-CBN, Perfect Match (Personal Preference) and the action-packed City Hunter which enjoyed high ratings in the country.

Bench has just concluded the deal in Seoul last Monday, capped by a pictorial for the brand’s billboards and posters, according to Funfare. So let's just wait for the official announcement whether it is really Lee Min Ho as the newest Bench endorser.

Gino, Jason and Marco: Get to Know the Boys of Dream High

K-pop fans get their overdose of gorgeous looks, irresistible charms, and pure musical talent from sought after Korean heartthrobs Taecyeon, Wooyoung, and Kim Soo-Hyun of the phenomenal hit series “Dream High,” airing weeknights on ABS-CBN.

Taecyeon and Wooyoung, before skyrocketing to television fame, first conquered the music scene as members of popular boy band 2 PM.  Taecyeon was first seen on TV in the drama “Cinderella’s Sister,” while Wooyoung is making his much anticipated debut acting on “Dream High.” Among the boys, it is only Soo-Hyun who is not part of the music industry. He was catapulted to stardom in “Dream High.” He had received numerous acting awards because of this project. The boys are currently enjoying superstar status in Korea via “Dream High,” which recently finished airing its second installment.

Just recently, the Korean series was awarded with a Golden Rose in the “Children and Youth” category at the prestigious Rose D’Or award in Switzerland where it is the only program from Asia nominated among other finalists from around the world.
