Kantar Media (November 13-14) TV Ratings: Ina Kapatid Anak Hits Highest Rating of 35.3%

Kantar Media (November 13-14) TV Ratings: Ina Kapatid Anak Hits Highest Rating of 35.3%Ina Kapatid Anak starring Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Xian Lim and Enchong Dee reached its season-high 35.3% TV rating last Wednesday, November 14, topping usual primetime leader Princess and I.

Meanwhile, Judy Ann Santos-hosted Masterchef Pinoy Edition has been a consistent top-rater since its debut, next to Jodi and Papa Chen's Be Careful With My Heart. Ella Cruz's Aryana also hit a record-high 29.5%, drowning the moth that is Mariposa in Paroa.

Kantar Media (November 12) TV Ratings: Masterchef Pinoy Edition Trounces GMA-7's Primetime Programs

Masterchef Pinoy Edition hosted by Ms. Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo did very well on its pilot episode as it reaches 18.1% TV rating nationwide according to Kantar Media. The said ABS-CBN kusina-serye even rated higher than all the primetime teleseryes of GMA-7.

Meanwhile, Be Careful With My Heart and Princess and I still lead the daytime and primetime race, respectively. TV Patrol is the most-watched newscast while Eat Bulaga reigned noontime.

Masterchef Pinoy Edition Beats Cielo De Angelina, Anime in TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s first kusina-serye MasterChef Pinoy Edition  is poised to become Filipinos’ favorite morning TV habit as its pilot episode that featured Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and the inspiring stories of amateur chef auditionees yesterday (Nov 12) claimed an early lead in ratings.

Based on data from Kantar Media, it registered a national TV rating of 18.1%, while GMA’s Knock Out (9.7%) and Cielo de Angelina (6.7%) and TV5’s Face to Face  (5.3%), trailed very far behind.

Aside from trending on Twitter in the Philippines, it also claimed the eighth spot in the top 20 most watched programs in the country and even scored higher than all of GMA and TV5’s primetime teleseryes.

Starting on Monday (November 12), the country’s no.1 daytime teleserye “Be Careful With My Heart” will air on a later timeslot, 11:15am, to pave way for the arrival of its newest ally in ABS-CBN’s morning block—Judy Ann Santos‘ much-awaited daily cooking reality show “MasterChef: Pinoy Edition,” which will air daily at 10:30am.

Meanwhile, based on the data from Kantar Media for the whole month of October, “Be Careful With My Heart” still remained as the no.1 daytime TV program nationwide. With its 23.3% average national TV rating, the love story of Maya (Jodi) and Sir Chief (Richard) even overthrown GMA’s primetime teleseryes that were not even part of the list of top 15 programs in October.

Masterchef Pinoy Edition Premieres November 12 Before Be Careful With My Heart

ABS-CBN gives viewers a daily dose of morning drama via its first ever kusina-serye MasterChef Pinoy Edition that highlights the struggles and triumphs in cooking and in real life and premieres on Monday (Nov 12).

Following the success of Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition, the newest version of the popular cooking reality show will give ordinary people from different generations, places, and economic backgrounds a chance to showcase their cooking prowess and overcome life’s challenges to reach their dreams.

Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and chefs Fernando “Ferns” Aracama, Rolando “Lau” Laudico, and JP “Jayps” Anglo for Masterchef Pinoy Edition
Teleserye Queen Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and chefs Fernando “Ferns” Aracama, Rolando “Lau” Laudico, and JP “Jayps” Anglo are reprising their roles as host and judges who will sample and critique the dishes the amateur chefs will whip up in a bid to become the very first Pinoy MasterChef and win P1 million.

Juday stressed that the screening of MasterChef hopefuls will be filled with thrill and drama as she, Chef Ferns, Chef Lau, and Chef Jayps will be more stringent and honest with higher expectations.

“The challenges will definitely be harder. We will be more blunt in giving comments. To be a good chef, one needs to endure all the hardships.” said Juday.

The kusina-serye also gets a fresh, new twist as it will highlight the amateur chefs’ struggles, aspirations for their loved ones, and their goal to prove themselves.

“Viewers will relate better because we will not only bring out the contestants’ talent but also their real-life stories,” she added.

More than being a cooking show, MasterChef Pinoy Edition will give viewers a taste of ‘reality’ by housing the finalists under one roof. There they will their develop appreciation for life as they blend with others, foster new bonds and conflicts, and experience success and defeat with each other.

Aside from that, aspiring chefs and viewers will also get useful information they can use in their daily lives such as easy-to-prepare Filipino recipes, cooking demos, and home management and health tips.

On Saturdays, meanwhile, witness the fun food adventures of Melai Cantiveros and Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4 housemates Joj and Jai Agpangan in MasterChef Saturdish Edition where they discover and whip up extraordinary dishes as well as give out cooking tips and trivia.

Masterchef Pinoy Edition Soon to Spice Up Weekday Mornings

ABS-CBN has released a teaser for the upcoming cooking reality show Masterchef Pinoy Edition. The said teaser showed a teary-eyed Judy Ann Santos who returns as host of the show.

Last year, the Philippine franchise of the hit cooking show from United Kingdom paved the way for aspiring kiddie cooks to showcase their culinary geniuses via Junior Masterchef Pinoy edition where Kyle Imao was hailed as the winner.

This year, Masterchef Pinoy Edition is back to give adult amateur cooks a chance to fulfill their culinary dreams. Professional Filipino chefs Fern Aracama (Chef Ferns), Rolando Laudico (Chef Lau), and JP Anglo (Chef Jayps) will return as judges.

Masterchef Pinoy Edition is set to join the “Umaganda” line-up of ABS-CBN, airing at 10:30 a.m. before the top-rating series Be Careful With My Heart. The cooking show is expected to premiere later this year.

Masterchef Pinoy Edition Audition Schedule (Date and Venue)

Be the very first Pinoy Masterchef! ABS-CBN's cooking reality show is back with MasterChef Pinoy Edition. After kids took the cooking arena, it's now time for ages 18-50 years old to take the spotlight.

MasterChef Pinoy Edition Audition Schedule Dates and Venue

Requirements:
  • must be an amateur cook
  • 18-50 years old
  • no culinary training (degree or diploma)
  • no cooking experience in a restaurant (fine or casual dining)
  • no teaching experience in a cooking class or demo
If you satisfy all the requirements, you can audition on June 21 at the Oceana Events Place and Restaurant, Seaside Boulevard, SM Mall of Asia (by the Bay), 8 am - 3pm. Just bring your specialty dish.
