Suddenly It's Magic International Screening Schedule Dates and Venue

Check out the international screening schedule of Star Cinema's Suddenly It's Magic starring Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales. The movie was screened in Singapore starting November 1 and will be screened in the US starting November 9.

Directed by Rory Quintos, Suddenly It's Magic is about Joey Hermosa (Erich Gonzales) and Marcus Hanson (Mario Maurer), two souls who only have two things in common. 

One: they live to make fairy-tale romances happen -- Joey through her exquisite wedding cakes; Marcus through the numerous romantic comedies he stars in. 

Two: their own love stories do not have the fairy-tale happy endings -- she was just recently dumped at the altar; he just discovered that his on-screen partner and real-life girlfriend had fallen in love with another man.

Suddenly It's Magic Grosses P25.87 M on First 5 Days, A Secret Affair Rakes P95 M in 2 Weeks - Box Office Mojo

Star Cinema's Suddenly It's Magic starring Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales grossed P25.87 million on its first 5 days of showing in over 100 theaters nationwide. The romantic comedy flick debuted on the third spot for the period of October 31 to November 4 according to Box Office Mojo.

The box office gross of Suddenly It's Magic failed to satisfy the expectations of many although we cannot consider the movie as flop.

Meanwhile, A Secret Affair  had now a total gross of P95.17 million after 2 weeks in cinemas while This Guy's In Love With You Mare raked in P238.78 million in 4 weeks. Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles managed to hit P69 million in a span of 3 weeks.

The number 1 movie for the period is the James Bond movie Skyfall which already had P77.26 million box office gross in just 5 days.

'A Secret Affair' Grosses P100 Million in 6 Days, Certified Box Office Hit!

Romance-drama film A Secret Affair starring Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Andi Eigenmann had already grossed P100 million in the box office according to Viva Films. The feat was attained after only six days from its premiere last October 24 in cinemas nationwide.

The movie is now set to replicate the success of its predecessor No Other Woman which also stars Anne and Derek. No Other Woman is now the highest grossing local drama film of all time and the second top grosser over all following Vice Ganda's The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.

A Secret Affair top the opening gross of No Other Woman with P20 million compared to the latter's P15 million. However, No Other Woman reached the P100 million mark in just five days.

It is expected that A Secret Affair will hit the P200 million mark after 2 weeks and will give Suddenly It's Magic a tough competition in the box office. The Mario-Erich movie premiered last October 31.

Mario Maurer in Manila this October 29-30 For 'Suddenly It's Magic' Promo and Premiere Night

Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer will be coming again to Manila on Monday (October 29) to promote his first movie in the Philippines, “Suddenly It’s Magic.”

Together with her leading lady Erich Gonzales, Mario is set to visit various ABS-CBN shows starting Monday and will grace the highly anticipated grand premiere night of their film this Tuesday (October 30) at SM Megamall. Star Cinema’s first Filipino-Thai film “Suddenly It’s Magic” will hit theaters nationwide on Wednesday (October 31).

Star Cinema's Suddenly It's Magic starring Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer and Philippines' sweetheart Erich Gonzales premieres this October 31. Helmed by director Rory Quintos, the movie was shot in Ilocos, Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand.

Suddenly It's Magic shares a feel-good new-age fairy tale of a Thai superstar named Marcus (played by Mario) who flies to the Philippines to escape from his busy career. In a foreign land, Marcus suddenly crossed paths with Joey (portrayed by Erich), a romantically jaded Filipina baker who is bound to spark ‘magic’ in the boring life of the Thai celebrity.

Star Cinema to Release 5 More Films this 2012

Star Cinema is set to release five more films in the fourth quarter of 2012 including the wild comedy riot "This Guy's In Love With You Mare," first Filipino-Thai film "Suddenly It's Magic," Star Magic's 20th anniversary movie "24/7 in Love," and its two official entries to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). 

"This Guy's In Love With You, Mare," the biggest comedy movie event of the year directed by Wenn Deramas "This Guy's In Love With You, Mare" and topbilled by the box-office comedy trio of Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and Vice Ganda continues to spread fun to moviegoers on its second blockbuster week. 

   

Star Cinema's first Filipino-Thai film, "Suddenly It's Magic" is a romantic-comedy flick starred by Erich Gonzales and Thai superstar Mario Maurer. Directed by Rory Quintos, the movie is set to be released on October 31. 

The romance anthology "24/7 in Love" will be starred by some of the biggest Star Magic talents including Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Zaijan Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, and Pokwang. The Star Magic 20th anniversary film, which is set to be screened nationwide in November, is directed by John D. Lazatin, Mae Czarina Cruz, Frasco Santos Mortiz, and Dado Lumibao. 

Meanwhile, the two highly anticipated MMFF entries of Star Cinema (One More Try and Sisteraka) to be shown on December 25 will surely make Filipino Christmas much more memorable.

Baifern Pimchanok is Newest Penshoppe Endorser, To Visit the Philippines this October 28-29?

Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul, popularly known as Baifern Pimchanok is the newest endorser of Penshoppe. Baifern now joins her Crazy Little Thing Called Love leading man Mario Maurer in the brand's league of international endorsers (Penshoppe All Stars).

Early October when Penshoppe confirmed that Fern will be the newest muse of Penshoppe by posting a photo of Baifern and Mario on Twitter, dubbed as Asia's most popular love team due to the success of their tandem in the said movie.

Most of the Penshoppe All Stars member had visited the country and it is also expected that Baifern will be having a fancon in Manila. There are rumors that Baifern will be flying to the country anytime this October to honor her Penshoppe endorsement deal. In a Facebook Page dedicated to Mario and Baifern's movie, one status post include a message from Baifern's father, Nipon Luevisadpaibul saying that she will be here on October 28-29, if there will be no change in schedule.

"If there is no change in the schedule, Baifern will visit to Philippines on 28-29 October as Penshoppe Brand Endorser. Meanwhile, the movie name "Suddenly, It's Magic will show in the theater on 31 Oct. Viral Video: 'Suddenly It's Magic' Trailer Spoof

Erich Gonzales and Mario Maurer's romantic movie, Suddenly It's Magic will premiere this October 31, 2012 and Star Cinema has already started promoting the film, accompanied by the release of posters and the film's official trailer.

In line with its upcoming release, The Real Brothers (TRB) Group, the Batangas-based makers of hit trailer spoofs such as that of Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang, The Healing and The Mistress (which all made it to ABS-CBN's TV Patrol), continues its tradition of hilarious movie trailer parodies with their latest spoof, Suddenly It's Magic.

Starring Cassey Rola (as Erich), Lee De Sagun and Junjun Maranan, and introducing the new Member of TRB STAR, Lance Balbuena (as Mario), Suddenly It's Magic trailer spoof is directed by Gilbert Tamayo.

Erich Gonzales is Mario Maurer's Personal Choice as Leading Lady in 'Suddenly It's Magic'

Star Cinema’s first Filipino-Thai film topbilled by Thai superstar Mario Maurer and Filipina primetime princess Erich Gonzales is all set to spread romance among Pinoy moviegoers with its approaching release in cinemas nationwide on October 31 (Wednesday).

Led by multi-awarded movie and TV director Rory B. Quintos, the film shares a modern-day fairytale between popular Thai actor Marcus (Mario) and a simple Filipina baker Joey (Erich) who are both in pursuit of their respective happiness.

“The movie is really about unconditional love,” explained Direk Rory. “It’s about learning how to let go and set free of the person you love so that he or she could fulfill his or her greatest potential. So when he or she comes back to you, you will really be loved.”

Direk Rory revealed that when the concept of “Suddenly It’s Magic” was approved, Mario was asked to choose his leading lady for the film. “They had sent pictures of several Filipino actresses of his generation and Mario was given the chance to choose,” she narrated. “And when I found out that it was Erich, I was really happy because I know how good she is as an actress.” It was reported that Mario chose Erich because of he found her so beautiful, very Filipina-looking, and a talented actress.

The instant chemistry between Mario and Erich was personally witnessed by Direk Rory. “On the first day of shooting, first sequence, first shot, right away kitang-kita ‘yung chemistry,” she said. “Actually, when I had a story conference for both of them, I already saw that there was good chemistry. Bagay na bagay sila! They looked so good together.”

When asked about Mario as an actor, Direk Rory had nothing but good word for the Thai superstar. “What struck me the most was he seemed to be such a nice boy and he is really cute,” shared Direk Rory. “I think women of all generations would appreciate how cute he is and you’ll actually see in his eyes that he is a good person.”

Likewise, the award-winning director adores the film’s leading lady. “I’ve worked with her for almost a year in the TV series ‘Maria la del Barrio’ and we got along very well,” she explained. “Erich is very young and a very good actress. Marami pa siyang magagawa in the future, I have no doubt that in the future she will bring awards at ang layo-layo pa ng mararating niya sa buhay.”

Thailand’s hottest heartthrob Mario Maurer is set to conquer the hearts of Pinoy moviegoers this year via his first-ever Philippine produced film titled “Suddenly It’s Magic.” 

His upcoming romantic flick under Star Cinema, where he is co-starred with one of Philippines’ finest drama princesses, Erich Gonzales, is directed by highly acclaimed Filipino director Rory B. Quintos and is slated to hit theaters nationwide on October 31, 2012.

Popularly known among his Asian fans as Shone in the hit Thai movie, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” Mario fondly shared how ‘happy’ he was to be paired with her leading lady, Erich.

“Erich is very funny. When we talk, she has so many characters. She’s very playful, that’s why I’m happy to be with her,” said Mario. “She can rap, she can do beatbox, and she tries to make me sing for her, and I just wouldn’t!”

Mario enjoyed Filipino food like Pork Barbeque and Adobo which Erich cooked during his stay in the Philippines.

Shot in two major locations namely Ilocos, Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand, Mario studied the Filipino language especially for the film.

“Suddenly It’s Magic” is set to hit theatres nationwide in October 31, 2012. It will also be shown in Thailand this year.
