Two New 'The Reunion' Movie Posters Unveiled!

Star Cinema has released two new posters for the upcoming movie The Reunion. After Trip  and Jologs, The Reunion will be this generations ultimate barkada movie.

The Reunion  follows the story of high school friends played by Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Enrique Gil and Kean Cipriano who will get into a road trip after their reunion. On their journey, they will meet their past love and will try to make amends for their past mistakes.

Also starring Jessy Mendiola, Julia Montes, Megan Young, Matt Evans, Bangs Garcia, Janus Del Prado, Tom Rodriguez, Louise Abuel, Alodia Gosiengfiao and Ronnie Lazaro, with the special participation of Ms. Gina Pareño, The Reunion  premieres in theaters, August 15.

'The Reunion' Official Movie Poster Goes Viral

Star Cinema has just released the movie poster for the upcoming barkada movie The Reunion starring Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Enrique Gil and Kean Cipriano.

The Reunion follows the journey of Lloyd (Enchong Dee), Bogs (Enrique Gil), Pat (Kean Cipriano), and Joax (Xian Lim), a group of high school friends who had a fair share of campus popularity until one big mistake changes their lives.

The four reunites to trace back where things gone wrong and going back the memory lane, they all reminisce the fun they had in their high school lives including first love and heartaches. The final question lies: "With all this. will they finally make things right?"

Also starring Jessy Mendiola, Julia Montes, Megan Young, Matt Evans, Bangs Garcia, Janus Del Prado, Tom Rodriguez, Louise Abuel, Alodia Gosiengfiao and Ronnie Lazaro, with the special participation of Ms. Gina Pareño, The Reunion  premieres in theaters, August 15.

Star Cinema's The Reunion Full Trailer Released

The full trailer for Star Cinema's upcoming barkada movie, The Reunion starring Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Xian Lim and Kean Cipriano has been uploaded on YouTube. The said movie is about a group of high school friends looking for the true meaning of love and happiness. 

"Isa siyang barkada movie na ipapakita ang journey ng isang grupo na close friends noong high school, several years later magkikita sila ulit. Doon ipapakita ang journey nila sa paghahanap ng tunay na kaligayahan. May ginawa kasi silang kasalanan noong high school at feeling nila kaya di pa sila nakakapag-move on sa buhay nila ngayon dahil sa nangyari before," says director Frasco Mortiz.

The Reunion will also pay tribute to OPM, mostly songs from the '90s spectacular band, Eraserheads. The Reunion soundtrack album paying homage to Eraserheads has been a success after its May 9 release.

Also starring Jessy Mendiola, Julia Montes, Megan Young, Matt Evans, Bangs Garcia and Ms. Gina Pareño with the special participation of Alodia Gosiengfiao and Cristine Reyes, The Reunion will premiere in theaters this August 15.

ASAP 2012 Pays Tribute to Dolphy this July 15

ASAP 2012 is all set to pay tribute this Sunday (July 15) to the one and only King of Comedy, Dolphy with special production numbers to be led by mainstays Gary Valenciano, Toni Gonzaga, Arnel Pineda, KC Concepcion, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Nikki Gil, Kean Cipriano, and ASAP Sessionistas.

The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Concert Set on July 27

Star Records levels up the 'E-Heads experience' for music fans across generations and slates a once-in-a-lifetime gathering of the country’s best rocks bands and solo artists to celebrate the timeless music of the iconic Filipino pop-rock band The Eraserheads via “The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Concert," which is set to happen on July 27 (Friday), 5pm, at the Trinoma Activity Center.

"The Reunion” concert will pay tribute to the anthemic songs of Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro through the new sound to be performerd by Callalily, 6CycleMind with Eunice of Gracenote, Hilera, Itchyworms, Mayonnaise, Tanya Markova, Johnoy Danao, Jay Durias, Vin Dancel, and Ney Dimaculangan.

Under the production of Star Records, “The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Concert" is a pays homage to the accolade priceless contribution of the band to the Philippine music history and to the country’s culture as a whole. The event is eyed to be a celebration not only of the generation who grew up to the music of The Eraserheads but also to the youth of today who are discovering the greatness of the band that revived Pinoy rock in 1990’s.

The concert is exclusive to fans who will buy the “The Reunion: An Eraserheads Tribute Album" in various AstroPlus or AstroVision stores during the set pre-selling period that is from July 7 to July 27. Enchong Dee is Courting Julia Montes, Grandma Confirms

Kapamilya heartthrob Enchong Dee is courting Walang Hanggan star Julia Montes. This was confirmed by Julia Montes' grandmother on her Kris TV guesting, Tuesday, June 5.

Flory Hautea, Julia's grandmother told Kris that Enchong Dee regulary visits her Julia Montes at their house. Julia's lola said that she was always on guard whenever Enchong is paying a visit.

"Oo siyempre nakabantay ako," she told the show's host Kris Aquino.

When asked if she approves of Enchong for her granddaughter Julia, Lola Flory replied: "Pwede na din."

Lola Flory said she's always reminding Julia to be careful when it comes to love.

"Basta huwag siya (agad) magtiwala. Siyempre alam mo naman ang mga boys. Pwede ding mag-ingat," she said. 

Julia grew up with her grandmother Flory ever since she started showbiz. Julia's mother is deaf and mute but Julia make it a point to bond with the latter (using sign languages). Julia's German father left them when she was born.

Meanwhile, Enchong Dee and Julia Montes will be both part of the upcoming Star Cinema movie, The Reunion together with Xian Lim, Enrique Gil, Megan Young, Jessy Mendiola and Kean Cipriano.

While Julia is busy with her Walang Hanggan shoot, Enchong will be doing another big teleserye together with Kim Chiu, Xian Lim and Maja Salvador entitled Ina, Kapatid, Anak.

Enrique Gil Says Kathryn Bernardo is His 'Ideal Girl'

Primetime prince Enrique Gil recently revealed that Kathryn Bernardo fits her ‘ideal girl’ but denied rumors that he has already started courting the “Princess and I” lead star.

Despite his denial, Enrique admitted that his leading lady is close to his heart. “Any guy would like Kathryn since she almost has all the great qualities of an ideal girlfriend. She is super kind and caring,” he shared.

Like his role in “Princess and I” Dasho Jao, who is attracted to Mikay’s bubbly personality, Enrique too is fond of Kathryn’s playfulness. He said, “She is so warm as a co-actor. We always joke around in the set that’s why it’s less stressful.”

Meanwhile, Enrique is grateful for their show’s consistent high national TV ratings. “All of the cast and staff’s hardwork is worth it because of the viewers’ support to us every night. Thank you very much,” said Enrique who is one of the lead stars of the upcoming Star Cinema film, “The Reunion” where he is co-starring with Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, and Kean Cipriano.

Enrique further shared that the strong point of their ‘royal teleserye’ is their not-so-heavy narrative. He expressed, “I think our show strikes a balance among the primetime shows of ABS-CBN because our story is just light with lots of love angles inside, giving the viewers positive vibes while watching.”

Callalily Revives Eraserheads' "Minsan" for The Reunion Movie Soundtrack (Teaser)

Callalily revives the Eraserheads hit Minsan for the upcoming Star Cinema movie The Reunion. The movie's soundtrack will be released as an Eraserheads tribute album.

Xian Lim's Debut Album to be Released on April 30

Actor Xian Lim is now a recording artist!

Xian Lim himself announced on Twitter that his debut album will be released this coming April 30. The said album will be released under Star Records.

“Yesss... April 30, 2012...MY ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED!!! BE SURE TO GRAB A COPY!!! :-)))", tweeted Xian.

Xian Lim has been very vocal about his ambition to become a singer yet he said he will not give up acting either. He also attends dance workshops for his dream of dancing on ASAP stage one day.

Xian sang the jingle of his new commercial for fast-food chain McDonald's. Xian’s version of the smash hit “Walking on Sunshine" for McDonald’s is now being played on radio stations.

Xian Lim is currently finishing the movie The Reunion with Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Julia Montes, Jessy Mendiola, Megan Young and Kean Cipriano. He is also set to appear in a movie with his My Binondo Girl co-star Kim Chiu, who’s being romantically linked to him right now.

It seems that Xian is being groomed as the next multi-media star. Apart from acting and singing, Xian is also being honed into hosting with his first hosting assignment being the coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas last April 15.

Xian Lim Working on a Debut Album

After singing the jingle of his new McDonald's McFloat commercial, Walking on Sunshine, Xian Lim welcomes the possibility of entering the music scene. Xian said in an interview with ABS-CBN news that he loves acting but he also wanted to get into music.

Xian's very own version of Walking on Sunshine is already making waves on the radio. His rendition of this Katrina and the Waves hit is much slower and very much different from the original.

Xian also revealed to ABS-CBN news that he is now working for a possible debut album.

"We are working on it right now. Sana po kapag nabuo siya I will let everyone know. I think they are putting together songs for me. Ako I continue to write songs, at kapag na-release 'yan kayo ang unang makakaalam noon,"

Aside from singing, Xian is also interested to learn more of dancing. He is attending dance workshops to improve his dancing moves. He confessed that he wanted to see himself on the ASAP stage as a dancer, which is one of his dreams.

Xian's upcoming projects include the movie The Reunion with Enchong Dee, Jessy Mendiola, Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, Kean Cipriano and Megan Young. He is also set to star in another movie, this time with My Binondo Girl leading lady, Kim Chiu.
