Actresses Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador had a sing and dance showdown in the ABS-CBN 60 Years of Television Trade Event held at NBC Tent in Taguig City last May 7.

The Ina Kapatid Anak stars opened the event with a spectacular showdown of Rihanna's Diamonds. The said showdown truly showed how professional Kim and Maja are. The two, as we all know, are not in good terms but as always, they give their best in every work they do.

Ina Kapatid Anak 'Gabi ng Rebelasyon' Winner in Nationwide TV Ratings

The much-anticipated ‘Gabi ng Rebelasyon’ episode of ABS-CBN’s no.1 family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” dominated the ratings game once again as it landed the top spot in the country’s most watched programs last Wednesday (April 3) based on recent data from Kantar Media. 

The episode that revealed Tatay Zach (Ronaldo Valdez) is the other person involved in the separation of Celyn (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador) at birth, garnered a national TV rating of 34.6%, or 15 points higher that its two rival teleseryes in GMA, namely “Indio” which only got 18.5% and “Mundo Mo’y Akin” which only registered 17% national TV ratings.

Back-to-back-to-back sparkling treats await Kapamilya Davaoeños this weekend as ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (RNG) is set to bring the network’s biggest and the brightest Kapamilya stars in the Durian Capital of the Philippines, Davao City for the grand celebration of ‘Araw ng Dabaw 2013.’

Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Rayver Cruz and their friends including Fred Payawan and Jason Abalos had gone on a vacation getaway this weekend in La Union as a post-birthday celebration of Gerald who turned 24 last March 7.

The group took advantage of the summer sun in the beach doing team building activities. They also did surfing as La Union is one of the famous surf destinations in the country. Maja and Rayver were generous to share their photos via Instagram and by the look of it, they had so much fun.

Maja Salvador on Kim Chiu: "Sana ma-realize niya na totoo akong kaibigan"

After the fall out of erstwhile bestfriends Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu, the former said that she has exerted effort to bring back their friendship but still on a "waiting" stage.

"Naghihintay lang ako... Naghihintay lang ako, kasi kailan lang naman ako tumigil mag-effort... Kahit anong mangyari, kaibigan pa rin niya ako," she said in an interview with the entertainment news program Cinemanews.

It was January this year when the relationship of Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador turned sour when the former learned that Gerald is courting her former bestfriend. Kim is Gerald's ex-girlfriend.

Since then, there were reports that tension arise on the set of their primetime soap Ina Kapatid Anak where they had confrontation and catfight scenes which made the controversy even more hotter. However, their co-stars in the show attested that the two remained professional while filming for the said top-rating teleserye.

"Ang pagkakaibigan, nagkakaintindihan," Maja said. "Pero nandito lang kami sa lugar ngayon, sa sitwasyon ngayon kung saan kailangan namin pagdaanan."

When asked if there's a chance that her bestfriend status with Kim Chiu will be salvaged, Maja said, "Hindi ko man maibalik 'yung friendship na kung ano man na meron kami, sana in time ma-realize niya at ng lahat na nandito ako bilang totoong kaibigan."

Ina Kapatid Anak Breaches 40% National TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s primetime family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” recently reached its milestone all-time high rating, as its ‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala’ episode aired last Friday (February 15) breached the 40% national TV ratings mark.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the highly anticipated night, which featured the grand debut celebration of Celyn (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador), earned 40.1% national TV ratings, or more than 20 points higher that its two rival teleseryes in GMA, namely “Indio” which only got 17.4% and “Pahiram ng Sandali” that only registered 16.1% national TV ratings.

In the ‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala’ episode, TV viewers across the country were glued to their small screens as they did not only witness the formal introduction of Celyn as a member of the Marasigan family but also the fiery confrontational scenes between Celyn and Margaux.

Now that everybody knows about the real identity of Celyn, will Margaux still find ways to get rid of her sister? What will the mysterious character of Diego (Alex Medina) do that will change the lives of Celyn, Margaux, and the people around them?

Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador Catfight Scene in 'Ina Kapatid Anak' Real?

In a teaser for Monday's episode of Ina Kapatid Anak, the characters of Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador in the top rating show will be involved in a catfight but reports said that the fight turned out to be real.

In a report published Friday at the Philippine Entertainment Portal, a source told the news site that after the filming of the "fight scene" which happened on Wednesday (February 6), the two actresses both sustained bruises.

"Ang ending [ng sampalan at sabunutan scene], pasa-pasa sila pareho at may mga kalmot si Maja. Umiyak si Kim after," the source was quoted as saying adding that Maja asked Kim if she was alright but the latter ran into her dressing room, cried and walked out, causing the taping to pack up.

Another source, however, denied that Kim Chiu walked-out of the taping telling PEP that it was already the cut-off time for the cast so Kim just went home.

According to the report, Star Magic, who handles the career of both Maja and Kim is looking into the incident and has not released a statement yet regarding the alleged "reel catfight turning real" between Kim and Maja.

'Minute to Win It' Pilot Wins Big in National TV Ratings

The pilot episode of ABS-CBN’s newest game show “Minute to Win It” reigned on its timeslot in nationwide TV ratings and entered the top 20 most watched programs last Monday (Jan 14). 

Based on data from Kantar Media, it registered a national TV rating of 21% vs “Knock Out” (9%) and “Chef Boy Logro: Kusina Master” (6.4%) of GMA, and even captured the 7th slot in the top 20 programs across urban and rural homes. 

Viewers can start practicing at home following the introductory blueprints of some of the show’s seemingly easy challenges using ordinary materials like eggs, pencils, ping pong balls, and tissue. 

This week, watch out for the nail-biting games of Kapamilya celebrities playing the game Maja Salvador, Martin Nievera, Zanjoe Marudo, K Brosas, Melai Cantiveros, and Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup.
