Ina Kapatid Anak to air soon in other countries with the international title Her Mother's Daughter

The show also dominated the list of most watched programs in the Philippines during its final telecast, and dominated the Twitterverse as well, after various hashtags related to the program trended worldwide on the popular micro-blogging site.

Many Filipinos followed the family drama “Her Mother’s Daughter” (“Ina Kapatid Anak”), topbilled by premier and sought-after Filipina actresses Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador, due to its captivating plot and controversial take on surrogacy. It also centered on the family, which is very dear to the family-oriented Filipino audience. Its success comes close at the heels of ABS-CBN’s phenomenal drama toprater “My Eternal” (“Walang Hanggan”) which dominated the TV landscape in 2012.

“Her Mother’s Daughter” (“Ina Kapatid Anak”) tells the story of Celyn (Chiu) and Margaux (Salvador), two different women who grew up living two very different lives. Celyn was raised in an impoverished family in a province, while Margaux had the life of a princess as the heiress of the country’s biggest shoe company.

They are fated to become the best of friends but only until a well-kept secret from the past is revealed—Celyn is Margaux’s adoptive parents long lost daughter through a surrogate that took her away. Rivalry ensues between the two and they will fight over everything from status, to family, and even love.

“Her Mother’s Daughter” (“Ina Kapatid Anak”) aired weeknights on Philippine television via ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ largest multimedia conglomerate and Filipino master of world-class dramas.

The series will soon air on other countries worldwide via the efforts of ABS-CBN International Distribution, a business unit of ABS-CBN that has been recognized in the global arena as a reliable foreign content provider. It has been a premier source of high quality Filipino programming in over 50 territories all over the world and has sold over 30,000 hours of content worldwide. Living up to this recognition, ABS-CBN International Distribution commits to add to its line-up high-caliber programs and movies with universal storylines and showcase a mixture of distinct facial features ranging from Asian to Hispanic with infusion of multicultural context.

Things like these usually happen on the taping of action scenes, be it in a teleserye or a movie. We just hope that Ejay is fine after that accident. Watch the video below.

Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and Jake Cuenca Teleserye Soon to Hit Primetime

After almost three years of absence in weeknight primetime television, Angel Locsin will be back with another exciting teleserye that is set to air this year on ABS-CBN.

Angel Locsin, Jerico Rosales, Maja Salvador and Jake Cuenca Teleserye Soon to Hit Primetime

The said teleserye will feature Angel along with award-winning actors Jericho Rosales, Jake Cuenca and Maja Salvador. There is a scarce information about the theme of the series but some reports claimed that Angel's comeback soap will be romance drama and has the working title Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin.

Angel Locsin recently confirmed via her official IG account that they were already done with the story conference and look test for the teleserye.

Several posts on social networking sites and fora hinted that aside from the four actors, the teleserye will also have Christopher de Leon, Maria Isabel Lopez, Rio Locsin, Mark Gil, Odette Khan, Bernard Palanca and Joem Bascon in the cast. Clues were also pointing that Maja and Angel will be rivals in this teleserye (read: wife vs mistress). The network executives, however, were mum on this.

Apparently, Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales replaced Andi Eigenmann (who has Galema) and Paulo Avelino, the two actors initially cast in the teleserye (read story here). The series, according to reports will be directed by Rory Quintos (Angel's Only You) and Dado Lumibao (Princess and I).

Fans were excited with this development and even suggesting themes for Angel's newest teleserye. Some would like to see Angel do another action drama with an element of time travel, the trend in Asianovelas nowadays.

Since Jake Cuenca is also part of the remake of Maria Mercedes, his participation in this series is still running hot and cold. Jericho Rosales, on the other hand, was initially cast for Harmoni and netizens were now asking whether the two will still retain their roles in the first series they were in or if they will be replaced.

Of all these questions in mind, one thing is sure though—Angel Locsin will return on primetime very soon.

Bea Alonzo Reveals Reason for Break Up with Gerald Anderson on YES! Magazine July 2013

Actress Bea Alonzo admitted that she and Gerald Anderson had a short-lived romance which was met with criticisms from fans and disapproval from Gerald's mother.

According to Bea, Gerald had just broken up with Kim Chiu when the actor expressed his intentions to court her way back in 2010. That time the Kimerald love team still has Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo.

Bea ALonzo covers YES! Magazine July 2013 Issue | Actress reveals reason for break up with Gerald Anderson
"'Yong nanligaw siya, sabi ko, 'Let's not talk for three months. Make sure, okay?' Kasi kaka-break niya lang talaga literally, kaka-break niya lang with Kim. Tapos sabi ko, 'After three months, titingnan ko, ha, kung gusto mo pa rin ako. Kasi ayokong maging rebound,'" Bea related on the July 2013 issue of YES! Magazine.

Bea Alonzo recalled that after three months, Gerald texted her and that started the courtship stage which was full of sweet gestures from Gerald to the point of setting up a catering service on her house just to appease her.

Bea said that their whirlwind romance has been a roller-coaster ride. She's happy at one point and depressed in another. Among the reasons for her "depression" then were the criticisms from 'Kimerald' fans wherein she recalled receiving death threats and the apparent disapproval of Gerald's mom of their relationship.

Asked what she recalls to be the reason of Gerald's mom for being against their relationship, Bea told YES!, "Sabi niya, parang ginagamit ko daw. Sabi ko, 'Teka lang, ha. Narating ko naman 'yong narating ko, dati na.' Actually nasisira nga dahil jinowa ko siya."

"So, I mean, nanay siya. Tapos ang feeling ko it wasn't fair, kasi never ko pa siyang nakilala. 'Di ba, parang ang sakit no'n? Kahit na nasisira 'yung pangalan ko, okay lang, basta 'yung pangalan niya, hindi masira, 'yong gano'n. Sobrang unfair. Kaya sabi ko, hindi ko na kaya," she said.

It was in November 2010, before they both went to London for an ABS-CBN concert tour, when Bea and Gerald decided to part ways as a couple. "Kasi hindi pa pwede talaga. You and me against the world ang drama. Hindi ko kaya. Hindi ko kaya talaga," Bea said admitting that she became angry to Gerald that time when he could not even defend their relationship to his family.

Currently, both Bea and Gerald are happy with their relationships to Zanjoe Marudo and Maja Salvador, respectively. Bea said that her summer romance with Gerald might have taught the actor some lesson.

"Baka noong time na 'yon hindi niya pa yata kayang panindigan. At least ngayon, napapanindigan niya na. Baka transition ako. Baka ako 'yong kinailangan niyang maranasan bago siya manindigan," she said.
