'IT'S SHOWTIME' Will Replace Happy Yipee Yehey

It is already confirmed that ABS-CBN's noontime show, Happy Yipee Yehey will have its finale episode on February 4. This will saw the grand finals of My Girl. Come February 6, a new noontime show will occupy the said timeslot.

Yesterday, January 28, talent show Showtime devoted a tribute episode to thank  the people behind the show's success including the staff, the hosts, the hurados and of course, the madalang pipol. Before the show ended, a glimpse of what will happen to the 2-year old show was shown to viewers.Showtime will rest for a week (January 30 - February 4) in preparation for its launching as the newest noontime show that will replace HYY.

Apparently, Showtime will transfer to a bigger studio (where Wowowee and HYY are held). The show will be overhauled to fit into a variety show that will challenge longest running, Eat Bulaga. The catch is that the Showtime that we all loved as a talent show will now be It's Showtime, the new  variety show that we will still love. A new format, new segments, new time slot but same hosts (with the addition of Ryan Bang, Coleen Garcia and Sample King, Jhong Hilario), fun and excitement will be served to all Filipinos.

The teaser for the new It's Showtime will be first seen on TV on Monday, January 30 at 10 AM. If you happen to watch Showtime yesterday, after your TV screens blacked out, the letters 'I T S' danced on front. Also all plugs for ABS-CBN's shows from daytime until primetime mention the words It's Showtime, a hint for the coming of the new noontime show.

Meanwhile, the previous timeslot of Showtime will be occupied by Kapamilya Blockbusters airing at 10 AM and by 11:30 AM, Mundo Man ay Magunaw premieres as the very first ABS-CBN-made teleserye to air at noontime. Come February 6, Mundo Man ay Magunaw will be aired back-to-back with It's Showtime.

Can It's Showtime topple Eat Bulaga?

With talented hosts and exciting new segments, plus a family no other, this formula could be what kapamilya noontime is craving for yet the winning formula still depends on the Pinoy's taste of what menu is hot and delicious at lunch time.
