ABS-CBN: 'It's Showtime' will not be Replaced, New Segments Launched

ABS-CBN, through its Head of Corporate Communications Mr. Bong Osorio denied rumors, via an official statement, that the noontime show It's Showtime will be replaced by a new show, returning it to its 10:30 AM original time slot.

A few days ago, rumors surfaced on the web that It's Showtime will be back to pre-noontime and that Palibhasa Tanghali, a new show that will be hosted by John Estrada, Richard Gomez and Joey Marquez will be its replacement.

Here is ABS-CBN's official statement regarding rumors that It's Showtime will be replaced:

There is no truth to rumors that “It’s Showtime” will be replaced. ABS-CBN is neither replacing "It's Showtime" with another program nor moving it back to its earlier timeslot.  In fact, "It's Showtime" today, April 30 kicked-off the launch of its new segments starting with the multi-talent showdown among Filipino families following the inter-town grand finals last Saturday, April 28. The viewing public can look forward to the launch of new entertainment segments in the coming days as ABS-CBN continues on its mission to bring fun and hope to the Filipinos here and in TFC markets worldwide.

So ABS-CBN is keeping It's Showtime on its current time slot the fact that new fun segments and larger game prizes will be upheld.

Today, April 30, It's Showtime launches new segments starting with the multi-talent showdown among Filipino families following the inter-town grand finals last Saturday.

Filipino families took the spotlight in the newest talent showdown where five to 25 family members—from the oldest generation to the youngest—showcased their talents.

From a creative presentation to introduce clan members (Rampa Kapamilya) to an exciting physical game (Liga Kapamilya) and a multi-talent showdown (Hataw Kapamilya), contestants will be put to test to bring out the fun, excellence and creativity in each Filipino family.

A brand new jackpot game is also in store where lucky contestants can get the chance to win the whopping P1 million prize to be launched soon.

Heartwarming stories will also be featured in “Dear Showtime Family” to give way to simple wishes from the “madlang people.” Also, more fun-filled performances and prize giveaways continue in “Sine Mo ‘To” and “Arte Mo.”

It seems that ABS-CBN is ready to face the challenge of maintaining It's Showtime and returning back its glory 2 years ago when it was just starting. We hope that these changes will improve noontime viewing as competition is stiffer.
