Janice Javier The Voice of the Philippines Performance Causes Clash Among Coaches

Another artist from The Voice of the Philippines landed on Twitter's worldwide trending topics in the person of Janice Javier whose Blind Auditions aired July 13. This is the second time, after Lee Grane, that an artist from the local franchise trended on Twitter worldwide.

Janice Javier convinced a four-chair turn after she performed Aretha Franklin's (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman. A Thailand-based band vocalist, Janice said that the show really fit her and the others who have insecurities with the way they look.

"I think I'm very much ready to represent myself and people who's like me. I want to show everybody na hindi lang mga payat, mga sexy ang pwedeng sumikat. Sabi ko nga eh, I'm not here to conquer the world. I'm just here to show that I'm worth it," she said.

The 38-year-old singer, who is originally from Pasay, is the cause of another clash among the coaches but Janice eventually chose Apl who, in hearing just two notes, turned for her in an instant. Watch her performance below:

Aside from Janice, other artists who made it to the Battles on Saturday's episode were Davao disc jock John Duka (Team Bamboo), half-Aussie Marissa Saroca and Bicolano MJ Podolig (Team Lea). CLICK HERE to see the members of each team as of the latest Blind Auditions.
