Young mom Andi Eigenmann is eager to make a showbiz comeback soon. It has been two months since she gave birth to Adriana Gabrielle or “Ellie.”

In a guest appearance on “Kris TV” Jan. 25, the 21-year-old Andi talked about her preparations for upcoming TV drama, “Problem Child.” The teleserye is a remake of a 1980s film directed by Elwood Perez and which starred Andi’s aunt, Cherie Gil, in the title role.
“Kumakain ako as much as I can breakfast and lunch. Pag dinner, konti na lang at tsaka maaga... I don’t eat in between,” Andi told host Kris Aquino.
The daughter of actors Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose thanked her home network ABS-CBN for giving her another opportunity in showbiz after giving birth.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga tao na sumusuporta sa akin. Lagi akong sinusubaybayan... Dumating yung pinagdaanan ko, di nila ako tinalikuran. Nandiyan pa rin sila. I still hear from my fans. To Mr. M [Johnny Manahan], Sir Deo [Endrinal], Ma’am Cory [Vidanes], Ma’am Charo [Santos-Concio] and everyone. Di nila nakita na just because na magkakaroon ako ng anak at di na masyadong ideal at this age. Binigyan pa rin nila ako ng chance. They believe in me na kahit papaano, kaya kong gawin yung role ko at kaya kong i-meet yung mga expectations nila sa akin. Mag-wo-work hard talaga ako para sa kanila,” Andi said.
So it is clear now that Andi will be doing Problem Child. What about Maria Mercedes? It has also been reported that Andi was given the role. If this is not the case, then who could be the new Maria?
Reports claimed that supposed-to-be Maria Mercedes leading man, Martin Del Rosario will also be paired with Andi Eigenmann in this new teleserye. Martin already worked with Andi in the hit series, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.
