Coco Martin is one of the biggest and hottest stars nowadays. Dubbed as the Prince of Indie, Coco Martin has proven his worth as an actor in many critically-acclaimed films that brought honor to the country. Now doing mainstream, Coco's star shine even brighter as he was given big roles that truly etch a mark in Filipinos hearts.
Coco Martin's professionalism had brought him into where he is now. Cannes Film Festival Best Director Awardee, Brillante 'Dante' Mendoza is all praises for the actor, even directors he had work with in his teleseryes such as Trina Dayrit commended Coco.
When asked if he is still willing to wear his birthday suit again if a role calls for it, Coco told the press in an interview:
“Hindi ako naglalagay ng limitasyon. Isa akong aktor kaya lahat ng hinihingi ng role ko ay ginagawa ko. Kung kinakailangang magpakita ng katawan at gumanap sa maseselang eksena, okay lang. Bahagi yun ng trabaho ko.”
It can be remembered that some of Coco's indie films made him shed his clothes and go nude. He did it for Masahista (The Masseur), Daybreak and the most controversial being Serbis (Service) where he had a full frontal nudity captured by the camera.
This 2012, Coco will star in yet another big ABS-CBN teleserye. A different Coco will dwell into romance, a deviation to most of the roles that he had played so far. In Walang Hanggan (which will air January 16 after Budoy) he will be teamed up with new generation leading lady, Julia Montes in a story of love that will last until eternity.
