Reports said that Andi Eigenmann was chosen to play the title role in new kapamilya remake 'Maria Mercedes.' You can read the post here. Now it is rumored that young kapamilya actor Martin del Rosario will be Andi's leading man in the said Mexicanovela remake.
Andi and Martin worked first time together via top rating teleserye, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin where both of them play the roles of army soldiers. In that series, Martin plays Berto, a 'mista' and secret lover to Andi who plays Gabrielle.
If rumors are true, then we can expect a lot new surprises from this award-winning young actor who had proven his worth as an actor through the movie Dagim where he garnered his Best Supporting Actor trophies from Star Awards for movies and Golden Screen Awards.
Martin juggles studies (at UP Diliman) and work. His showbiz blood could be the reason for this young actors acting skills. He is the son of Robert del Rosario and nephew of Joey del Rosario (who briefly did supporting roles in the movies Waywaya and Bagets. His mother is the sister of actress Ces Quesada while Connie Sison happens also to be his aunt (father's side).
A model youth, Martin indeed deserve a bigger break in showbiz. Let's just hope that we can see him soon via Maria Mercedes. I'm sure he has a lot to show as an actor.
