Just recently, a teaser of Gretchen Barretto's comeback teleserye, Alta was uploaded on the web. This teaser excites netizens not only with its superb mix of casts but also with the lines that each character remarked. However, according to showbiz insiders, the said teleserye was already shelved and even cast member Luis Manzano tweeted about the said teleserye not pushing through.
Some reports also said that Angelica Panganiban was very much disappointed with the cancellation of her teleserye and might be thinking now of transferring to another network (at least after her contact expires). However, Gretchen Barretto might be singing a different song.
According to byx speaks, Gretchen will be doing a teleserye with multi-awarded actor and director Albert Martinez. This project is also said to star fast rising young actors, Kathryn Bernardo and Enrique Gil. This series is said to be directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Dado Lumibao. The source related that the grand teleserye will be produced by Star Creatives, the makers of unforgettable and award-winning series such as Magkaribal, Imortal, Kahit Isang Saglit, Lobo and Pangako Sa 'Yo.
Last year, the teaser of Kathryn Bernardo's 2012 teleserye, You're Always In My Heart was released. The said series will make Kathryn a princess with leading men Enrique Gil, Daniel Padilla and PGT's Khalil Ramos. Could this teleserye be Gretchen's supposed-to-be project with Albert Martinez. Rumors has it that Kathryn's teleserye will shoot some scenes in Bhutan to simulate the Royal Family.
What do you think of the said teleserye? For me, I would rather get Gretchen for Alta and another queen for Kathryn's series, that is if what we are talking is the same project.
Anyhow, Kapamilya teleseryes, whoever casted will always be the best in Philippine TV.
