Kathryn Bernardo left for Bhutan last night, March 6 to shoot for her upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye, Princess and I. In an interview with ABS-CBN news, Kathryn said that the rest of the cast will follow for the shoot of their pilot week in the South Asian Kingdom in the Himalayas.
Kathryn said that they will taped for the pilot week episodes on the said country so that they can establish the feel of the kingdom as early and for the viewers to see Bhutan up front. She also shared that Princess and I will be much different from her ground-breaking soap, Mara Clara because the former is a light show compared to the latter's heavy drama theme.
In Princess and I, Kathryn will be playing the role of a lost princess from the said Himalayan kingdom. Albert Martinez will play the king, Kathryn's father and beauty queen Lara Quigaman will be the queen mother. Gretchen Barretto will play the role of another royalty (an Ashi or queen) which is more or less a villain in the story.
Kathryn will have 3 leading men in the series - Daniel Padilla, Khalil Ramos and Enrique Gil. Enrique is expected to leave for Bhutan this March 8.
