Romance-drama film A Secret Affair starring Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Andi Eigenmann had already grossed P100 million in the box office according to Viva Films. The feat was attained after only six days from its premiere last October 24 in cinemas nationwide.
The movie is now set to replicate the success of its predecessor No Other Woman which also stars Anne and Derek. No Other Woman is now the highest grossing local drama film of all time and the second top grosser over all following Vice Ganda's The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.
A Secret Affair top the opening gross of No Other Woman with P20 million compared to the latter's P15 million. However, No Other Woman reached the P100 million mark in just five days.
It is expected that A Secret Affair will hit the P200 million mark after 2 weeks and will give Suddenly It's Magic a tough competition in the box office. The Mario-Erich movie premiered last October 31.
