Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Young made it to the Miss World 2013 Beach Fashion event finals, one of the important challenges in the Miss World 2013 pageant happening in Bali, Indonesia.
Megan was selected from the 33 shortlisted candidates who advanced to the first round of beach beauty competition wearing fashionable sarongs instead of bikinis, in respect to Indonesia's culture being a predominantly Muslim nation.
As one of the 11 (supposedly Top 10 but the judges couldn't decide who to put through as the 10th finalist, having a tie) finalists, Megan will take part in a special photoshoot to decide who will be the Beach Fashion event winner.
Along with Megan are the other 10 finalists in the said event which include candidates from France, Indonesia, Jamaica, Spain, China, Ghana, Ukraine, Italy, Brazil and Moldova.
The winner of the beach fashion event will be announced on September 28 during the Miss World 2013 grand coronation night in Indonesia.
Megan is doing well in Indonesia and has been one of the favorites to win the crown. She was also handpicked by the MWO for a press conference held recently along with Misses Puerto Rico, Cameroon, Spain, Indonesia, Lebanon, Jamaica, Australia and Netherlands.
Let's hope that these are signs of greater things to come for Megan Young in her quest for the country's first ever Miss World crown.
