The Philippines' Megan Young was crowned Miss World 2013 in a glittering ceremony held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia.
Megan Young is the very first Miss World from the Philippines, the only grand slam title that has been elusive to a Filipina. With Megan's win, the Philippines became the very first country in the world to conquer all grand slam crowns.
"Salamat sa mga kababayan ko. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Thank you so much everyone for choosing me to be the next Miss World. It really means a lot to me," said Megan after being crowned as the new Miss World in the 63rd edition of the annual pageant. "I promise to be the best Miss World ever."
