Jason Balabal made as scene in the opening ceremony wearing nothing but a piece of loincloth of his native Ifugao. The grappler, who debuted in the biennial games on its 25th edition in Laos, honored his Igorot roots by wearing the 'bahag.'

Leading the Philippine contingent are chef de mission Jeff Tamayo and his deputy, Monsour del Rosario, followed by more than 200 athletes competing for the country's pride.
