The F4 fever is coming back on Jeepney TV. The one which started it all, Meteor Garden will be returning to the First and True Home of Asianovelas via Jeepney TV.
Jeepney TV promised to air the phenomenal Meteor Garden if the channel's official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/JeepneyTV) page reaches 25,000 LIKES.
Meteor Garden is a 2001 Taiwanese TV adaptation of the hit Japanese shōjo manga series, Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango), written by Yoko Kamio. The said drama starred Barbie Hsu as Shan Cai, Jerry Yan as Dao Ming Si, Vic Zhou as Hua Ze Lei, Ken Chu as Xi Men and Vanness Wu as Mei Zuo.
Meteor Garden first aired in the Philippines summer of 2003 on ABS-CBN. The show is the highest-rating Asianovela in the country. The popularity of this TV drama started the so-called "Asianovela Craze" and "Meteor Fever". ABS-CBN later showed its sequels, Meteor Rain and Meteor Garden Season 2, which became successful as well.
Replays of the show also aired on GMA Network and its defunct affiliate channel QTV-11 (now GMA News TV). Other remakes of the manga also aired in the Philippines—Boys Over Flowers (South Korea) via ABS-CBN and Hana Yori Dango (Japan) via GMA-7.
