Listen With Your Heart Music Video | Filipino Artists Say Thank You to the World for Yolanda Aid

Filipino music artists led by some of the most renowned names in the international music scene collaborate to say thank you to the whole world for the help they extended to the Philippines after the onslaught of typhoon Yolanda via the music video “Listen with Your Heart.” 

Chosen to send this message of gratitude are world-class Filipino artists Lea Salonga, Lani Misalucha, Arnel Pineda and Billy Crawford who sang the theme song “Listen with Your Heart” together with other popular local music artists such as Jaimie Rivera, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Juris Fernandez, Bugoy Drilon, Liezel Garcia, Jovit Baldivino, KZ Tandingan, Marion Aunor and Wynn Andrada.

The song, written by Christine Daria-Estabillo with music by Marcus Davis Jr., was intentionally written in English so that the message will cross boundaries and will surely be heard in all parts of the world. Watch the Music video of “Listen with Your Heart” below.

Ellen DeGeneres Invites Aldrich Lloyd Talonding to Perform in 'The Ellen Show'

American TV host Ellen DeGeneres invited Pinoy YouTube sensation Aldrich Lloyd Talonding to perform in the 'Ellen' show. Just like Charice's, the invitation was aired live on The Ellen Show.

"Last week I saw this video of a young singer. He’s from the Philippines. You gotta see this kid, amazing," Ellen said. "How beautiful is that? It’s that soul in that little boy. So, I’m looking for you. Please come here and sing to me and all of my friends here. You are amazing,” the host added after the viral video of Aldrich was flashed on the show.

The video of Aldrich Lloyd Talonding singing a heartfelt rendition of Luther Vandross' Dance With My Father eventually became a viral hit. The video was even featured in major newscasts TV Patrol and Bandila, reporting that there have been movements in social networks to endorse Aldrich to perform on Ellen.

These move might have reached Ellen and being the talent discoverer herself, Ellen DeGeneres did not hesitate to invite the kid from General Santos to sing in her show live. If Aldrich Lloyd will accept the invitation, he will join the ranks of Charice, Arnel Pineda, Rhap Salazar and Zendee Rose Tenerefe, all Pinoy sensations who had already performed on Ellen.

Arnel Pineda Featured in Tribeca Filmfest' Docu 'Everyman's Journey'

Arnel Pineda, Journey's main band vocalist is featured in a documentary film entitled Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey which premiered April 19 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

The said documentary film was directed by Filipina filmmaker Ramona Diaz and told the unlikely story of Arnel Pineda from being the lead singer of a Journey cover band to becoming the replacement of former Journey vocalist, Steve Perry.

Here is the synopsis of Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey from the official website of Tribeca Film Festival (http://www.tribecafilm.com):

"For Arnel Pineda, the past five years have been the stuff that dreams are made of. In 2007, Arnel's friend began uploading videos of the aspiring Filipino singer covering classic rock songs onto YouTube. One of them was seen by Neal Schon, guitarist for the iconic rock band Journey. Blown away by Pineda's talent and uncanny vocal similarity to former Journey front man Steve Perry, Neal flew Arnel from Manila to San Francisco to audition for the band, and the rest is history. But Arnel's personal journey had just begun. Having lived life on the street since age 13 with no classical music training, he was anything but prepared for the grueling physical and emotional strains that come from fronting a rock band on a whirlwind world tour. Can a man who has already overcome so many obstacles deal with the demands of his newfound fame?
