GMA-7 broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio drew flak from netizens after a phone patch interview with Atty. Alfredo Villamor, Janet Lim-Napoles' lawyer for the latter's serious illegal detention case.
According to netizens, Arnold Clavio threw unprofessional side comments while interviewing Janet Napoles' lawyer on Unang Balita Tuesday morning. In the video making rounds in social media, Clavio was quoted to have told Atty. Villamor "rude" statements such as "Pansira ka ng araw eh," and "Tatawa-tawa ka pa."
Apparently, Arnold Clavio got irked after the said lawyer started to beat around the bush when asked by the broadcaster. However, some netizens opined that Clavio's behavior was a sign of being unprofessional, rude and arrogant—cutting the interview while the other person was still talking and even telling the lawyer that he's just a waste of time (in a sense).
"Sana pala hindi namin kayo natawagan, salamat ho, wala ho akong nakuha sa inyo [na relevant information]. Salamat po attorney," Clavio remarked before cutting the interview on air.

Comedian Vice Ganda was castigated by GMA News anchors in defense of Jessica Soho who has been a victim of Vice Ganda's offensive jokes during his I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko sa Araneta Concert on May 17.
Arnold Clavio in his radio program vented his anger towards Vice Ganda.
"Bakit mo binibiktima ang mga taong seryoso sa trabaho nila? Huwag mo silang kasangkapanin para lang makapagpagpatawa. Bakit hindi taga-diyan sa inyo ang gawin mong subject ng jokes mo? Bakit hindi taga-ABS?" said Clavio.
Vice Ganda made fun of Jessica Soho's weight but it was the use of the word 'gang rape' that earned the ire of Jessica's co-anchors and many netizens. The said joke was caught in a video which had gone viral recently.
"Ang hirap nga lang kung si Jessica Soho magbo-bold. Kailangan gang rape lagi. Sasabihin ng rapist, 'Ipasa ang lechon.' Sasabihin naman ni Jessica, 'Eh nasaan yung apple?'" said Vice after making fun of Jessica's weight.
On Twitter, GMA reporters also posted their sentiments towards the issue.
"Vice Ganda, sana di mo maranasan maging rape victim. Saglit mong patawa sa concert, buong buhay nilang trauma," posted Bam Alegre tagging Vice Ganda in the tweet.
"Para kay Vice Ganda, personal ko ito. Hindi joke ang salitang "rape." Pakiretweet po hanggang makaabot sa kanya," cried Jiggy Manicad while Maki Pulido said, "Vice ganda should realize that rape is not a joke. That rape is a form of violence. Pls RT hanggang umabot sa kanya."
Meanwhile, Jessica Soho, who is the vice president of GMA News and Public Affairs released her official statement regarding the issue via GMA News Online.
"Rape is not a joke and should never be material for a comedy concert. I thank all those who shared my hurt and expressed their support, but this should not be about me but about rape victims who suffer tremendously from this terrible crime. The horrors they go through are unspeakable and should never be taken lightly, especially by way of a cruel joke," said Jessica.
According to reports, GMA News plans to file charges against Vice Ganda to protect the interest and reputation of Jessica Soho who is a respected and award-winning journalist.
Actress Angel Locsin cried foul over Arnold Clavio's remark against the Philippine football team Azkals. In her official Twitter account, Locsin expressed her admiration of Clavio but stressed that the broadcast journalist's racist tirades against the team was really offensive.
Angel Locsin is the rumored girlfriend of Azkals team member, Phil Younghusband.
"I think Arnold Clavio's a good person. But this time, sobrang foul lang. That's his opinion. This is mine. Madali lang sumira ng reputasyon, mahirap ibalik. Konting sensitivity lang sana," she tweeted.
Angel also stressed that it's really unfair to judge the whole team, particularly questions about their nationality.
"Hindi naman po isang tao lang ang Azkals. At hindi naman po 'yung issue 'yung pagiging Pinoy nila. Unfair po 'yun," Angel said through Twitter.
She added: "Wala po tayong karapatang manghusga agad at manapak ng tao. Kung ayaw rin po nating mangyari satin."

Here is what Arnold had to say on the Azkals.
"Eh talagang ano na, aral na sa inyo 'yan eh. Ang yayabang n'yo 'kala n'yo... Porke't dinadagsa kayo ng mga fan, ang guguwapo n'yo eh. Parang uh.. 'God's gift to women'."
"Alam mo lahat ginawa para ipaalam na may babaeng papasok sa locker, ilang katok nga sila eh. Eh malapit na 'yung match eh. Kailangan ma-check na 'yung dalawang kuponan. Dahil nauna 'yung Philippine team, bago yung Malaysian team."
"Hindi ko kayo ka-kultura, kasi wala dito (pointing to his heart) at wala dito (pointing to his head). Hindi naman kayo Pilipino. Nagpapanggap lang kayong kayumanggi. Hindi kayo dito lumaki, mahirap 'yun."
"Akala siguro nila lahat gusto silang matikman siguro, makasama, Diyos ko!..."
