Comedian Tado as Entrepreneur Unveiled in My Puhunan (February 12)

Broadcast journalist Karen Davila uncovers the other side of the late comedian Arvin “Tado” Jimenez, was not only a staunch social advocate off-camera but also a hands-on entrepreneur.

In “My Puhunan” tomorrow (Feb 12), Karen will show Tado’s shop “LimiTado,” which the program visited before Tado died in a bus accident last Friday. Tado’s shop sells one-of-a-kind statement shirts, and vintage items such as clothes, accessories, and bicycles. Tado also left behind his own tattoo shop called “LimiTattoo.”


Karen will also share the success story of married couple Marlon and Michelle Aman, who made it big by selling ice cream on sidewalks. Now, their company “Miguelito’s” earns P15 million a month.

Tado Dead; Comedian Killed in a Bus Accident

Comedian Tado was killed in a Florida bus accident in Bontoc, Mountain Province Friday, February 7. The actor-comedian, whose real name is Arvin Jimenez, died along with 14 other bus passengers.

According to reports,  the Florida bus (with plate number TXT 872) fell off a 500-meter deep ravine in Banaue-Bontoc road, Sitio Panggang, Barangay Talubin, Bontoc, Mountain Province at around 7:20 a.m. With 45 passengers on board, Tado was among the 14 who were killed in the accident.
Initial reports said that the bus brakes failed and the driver lost control of the vehicle. Reports also said that at least 24 others were injured while four passengers were still missing. The wounded passengers were brought to the Bontoc General Hospital and Luis Hora Hospital.

Search and rescue operations were underway and the police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

One of Tado's latest Instagram posts was that of the bus headed to Bontoc captioned: "Long trip, as in trip trip." The comedian went to Bontoc to fulfill his ongoing 40 mountains project which ironically titled "Life begins at the mountain."

Tado became part of several ABS-CBN shows such as Klasmeyts, Ok Fine Whatever, the noontime show MTB Masayang Tanghali Bayan, and the art show Art Jam with Epi Quizon. He also designed LimiTado shirts, which main selling points are striking messages and spoofs printed on them.

The 39-year-old comedian, who was last seen in the MMFF entry My Little Bossings, was survived by his wife and four children namely, Leidulataja, Katrina May, Indi and Tila.
