ABS-CBN got 8 out of the top 10 programs on Wednesday, December 11 according to the data provide by Kantar Media/TNS. Included in the top 6 programs are Honesto, Got to Believe, TV Patrol, Annaliza, Maria Mercdes and Be Careful with My Heart.

Also in the top 10 are Princess Hours and It's Showtime, which is consistent in beating rival Eat Bulaga even in the December 12 (Thursday) ratings.

The finale episode of Judy Ann Santos' Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala garnered 32.5% TV ratings nationwide and is the second most-watched program last Friday, following Juan Dela Cruz.

Eat Bulaga and It's Showtime tied in first place on Saturday, August 24. After being beaten for days, the ABS-CBN noontime show equaled rival when it featured the Parade of Stars of Kalokalike Face 2. Meanwhile, Saturday primetime supremacy belongs to MMK, beating rival Magpakailanman by almost 13 points.

National TV Ratings (August 8-9): It's Showtime Beats Eat Bulaga on Holiday, Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala Soars

ABS-CBN noontime show It's Showtime beats rival Eat Bulaga on Friday, August 9. The said day was decalred an official holiday in celebration of the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The show got 17.4%, a one-point lead over Eat Bulaga's 16.4%.

Meanwhile, Juan Dela Cruz and Muling Buksan Ang Puso have conquered greater heights in TV ratings as the shows garnered, for the record, 37.8% and 31.9% nationwide, respectively. Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is also a hit with 27% TV ratings at a later timeslot, beating by mile its rival show My Husband's Lover.

Angel Locsin Hosts 'It's Showtime' Once a Week

Actress Angel Locsin is now officially part of It's Showtime family. Angel was welcomed on the show Saturday (July 27) where her hosting ability was tested.

Hosting a noontime show is a new arena for Angel, who has already proven herself as a dramatic actress and teleserye action star. She was also successful in trying comedy via weekly show Toda Max, which has been extended for several seasons.

As a newbie in hosting, Angel wanted to observe and test herself first and for the meantime, will co-host It's Showtime every Saturday.

"Once a week muna ako. I’m glad Jun Santiago (the show’s business unit head) understands. Sabi ko sa kanya, let me test the water first, kumbaga," said Angel Locsin, who will also be busy taping for her upcoming primetime teleserye Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin with Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador. "First time kong mag-host ng isang TV program kaya please bear with me ha."

Angel's hosting debut was met with enthusiasm by fans and her "ninang dance" was a hit among netizens. She also got the chance to meet personally her kalokalike, who according to Angel was her peg in styling her hair for the episode.

When the news of Angel Locsin joining It's Showtime came out last month, there were talks saying that Eat Bulaga will also be hiring the services of Marian Rivera, who has always been pitted against the Kapamilya actress.

Will Angel's presence on It's Showtime boost the ratings of the said ABS-CBN noontime show? Lately, It's Showtime has been behind rival Eat Bulaga in the ratings game. 

Just a thought: Aside from getting Angel as host, the show might also consider introducing new innovative segments, to at least bring back the interest of viewers. The ratings slipped down after the finals of Kalokalike and the impact of 'Bida Kabarkada' is yet to be felt.

Kim Chiu Wins Super Sireyna Queen of Queens Grand Finals

The Super Sireyna Queen of Queens Grand Finals of Eat Bulaga happened July 27 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila. Francine Garcia (aka Kim Chiu), a wildcard winner, was hailed as the Super Sireyna Queen of Queens.

Francine Garcia also won the Facebook Dabarkads Choice with the most likes on Facebook.

In the talent competition, Francine Garcia sang Paraiso while unveiling an image of the earth in a canvass. When asked if she will accept being called to serve in the military, the Queen of the Jungle from Quezon City replied confidently that as a law abiding citizen, she'll comply since it's not all about the gender.

She ended her answer citing one of the articles in the Philippine constitution which amazed everyone in the audience, more so the judges, composed of Michael Carandang, Rajo Laurel, Aljur Abrenica, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz and daughter, Isabelle Daza, who is also a Dabarkads.

Eight queens vied for the title of "Queen of Queens" of the show's Super Sireyna. They were Super Sireyna Queen of Asia, Mariane Arguelles aka Cristine Reyes; Super Sireyna Queen of Tourism, Mae Andrada aka Marian Rivera; Super Sireyna Queen of the World, Michelle Bermudez aka Georgina Wilson; Super Sireyna Queen of the Sky, Maki Eve Mercedez aka Jennylyn Mercado; Super Sireyna Queen of the Ocean, Bembem Radaza aka Carla Abellana; Super Sireyna Queen of the Wind, Aya Garcia aka Bangs Garcia; Super Sireyna Queen of the Universe, Ava Santillian aka Heart Evangelista; and Super Sireyna Queen of the Jungle, Francine Garcia aka Kim Chiu.

National TV Ratings (July 9-11): It's Showtime on a Losing Streak

ABS-CBN's noontime show It's Showtime has been lagging behind rival Eat Bulaga in terms of nationwide TV ratings for the past few days. It's Showtime registered 11-12% ratings from July 9-11 compared to rival's 15%.

Meanwhile, Muling Buksan Ang Puso has captured the hearts of the viewers with it's ratings increasing day by day. As the story unfolds and with the characters of Julia, Enchong and Enrique entering the scene, the new teleserye is expected to hit it big time.

National TV Ratings (June 10-12): Apoy Sa Dagat Beats My Husband's Lover

ABS-CBN's Apoy Sa Dagat was triumphant over newest rival My Husband's Lover on the first three days of the latter's pilot week. The Kapamilya teleserye landed consistently on the top 5 primetime programs nationwide.

Eat Bulaga beats It's Showtime two days in a row (June 11 and 12). The Ryzza Mae Show, meanwhile got its highest rating of 20.4% on Wednesday with the birthday episode of the child wonder featuring Tito, Vic and Joey as guests.
