Vice Ganda Slams Jobert Sucaldito, Denies Paying for Best Actor Trophy

Posted on March 12, 2014 | 10:06 PM

Comedian Vice Ganda is confident that his conscience is clear regarding the alleged vote-buying in the recently concluded PMPC Star Awards for Movies. The issue was broken by Jobert Sucaldito, saying that Vice's Best Actor win was paid (read story here).

Vice Ganda Slams Jobert Sucaldito, Denies Paying for Best Actor Trophy

Speaking on It's Showtime Wednesday, Vice Ganda said that he's aware of the controversy hounding PMPC but just ignored it since he knew for himself that he didn't pay for the award (WATCH VIDEO HERE).

"Nung nabasa ko natawa lang ako, tapos tumahimik ako. Sabi ko ‘Kung kakausapin ko ang konsensya ko, ano kayang sasabihin ng konsensya ko sa akin?’ Sabi ng konsensya ko sa akin, ‘Kung nandaya ka, ibalik mo ang award. Kung hindi ka nandaya, yakapin mo ang award,’” Vice Ganda said before hugging his trophy.

On Tuesday, Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC), organizers of the Star Awards for Movies, already denied the said allegations (read PMPC's official statement here).

Vice Ganda has just returned from his highly successful “I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Amerika” tour. The tour’s first show was held at the John Logan High School Pavilion last February 28 where Vice entertained the audience with special guests, heartthrob Ejay Falcon and comedy duo MC and Lassy.

The tour’s second show at the Los Angeles Theatre on March 1 also drew a huge turnout that Vice extended the show to three hours. The tour was presented by Happy Box, in cooperation with Redcheese Production, iOhmie Entertainment, and BG Productions.

Vhong Navarro's It's Showtime Comeback Slays Eat Bulaga in Nationwide TV Ratings

Posted on March 11, 2014 | 9:47 PM

Vhong Navarro Return on It's Showtime

Many viewers nationwide tuned in to his return that “It’s Showtime” recorded a national TV rating of 20.3%, compared to rival program “Eat Bulaga” (12.6%), according to data from Kantar Media.

Netizens also warmly welcomed Vhong back as they posted their thoughts on social networking sites. On Twitter, the hashtag #WelcomeBackVhongNavarro landed on the list of worldwide trending topics.

“I want to personally thank all of you for defending me, believing in me, and praying for me,” a tearful Vhong said.

“You are the reason why I remain strong, why I’m here in front of you now, and why I love working. I love making people happy,” he added.

This week in “It’s Showtime,” the Twitter-trending “Stars on 45” has begun trimming down its 27 middle-aged semi-finalists who will compete by crooning classic and contemporary hit tracks.

They have proven that it is not too late for them to shine, but who among them will prove to be the hottest and the brightest?

Stay tuned to “It’s Showtime,” 12:30 PM on weekdays and on Saturdays at 12NN on ABS-CBN. For updates on the program, follow @ItsShowtimena on Twitter, @ItsShowtimeOfficial_IG on Instagram, or like   www.facebook.com/itsShowtimena.
