ABS-CBN Clinches 12 out of 15 Top Programs Nationwide in February 2013

ABS-CBN dominated nationwide TV ratings for the month of February 2013 by virtue of its weeklong top-caliber primetime offerings that continue to gain significant increases as more and more viewers watch them on both weekday and weekend nights.

ABS-CBN dominated the primetime block bolstered by the viewership of its top programs “Ina Kapatid Anak,” which enjoyed a national TV rating of 37.2% and superhero drama “Juan Dela Cruz” with 37.9%. “Princess and I,” meanwhile, finished on top of its game with a whopping 38.1% on its much-anticipated finale last February 1.

The fourth season of talent reality show “Pilipinas Got Talent” rose to 28.4%, while newcomer “Apoy sa Dagat” blazed on primetime with a strong 25.6%. “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (30.4%) continued to outperform rival program “Magpakailanman,” which only managed 21.3%. “TV Patrol” also remained as the country’s number one newscast with a national TV rating of 28.5%.

National TV Ratings (February 28): Stronger 'Apoy Sa Dagat' Drowns 'Temptation of Wife'

Apoy Sa Dagat starring Angelica Panganiban, Piolo Pascual and Diether Ocampo moved up in the ratings game as it landed third spot on Thursday, February 28 according to the nationwide TV ratings from Kantar Media/TNS.

Apoy Sa Dagat beat its rival program Temptation of Wife starring Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera with a 10.5% deficit. Meanwhile, Ina Kapatid Anak and Juan Dela Cruz were tied statistically as the most-watched on primetime that day.

ABS-CBN clinched 13 out of the top 20 programs on the last day of February 2013, one of their best finishes nationwide since the start of the year. Here are the Top 10 daytime and primetime programs on February 28, 2013 among Total Philippines (Urban & Rural) households:

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold is inching up in the ratings game with programs May Isang Pangarap and PHR Paraiso beating their rival programs in the afternoon prime line-up.

National TV Ratings (February 21): Juan Dela Cruz Hits All-Time High 42.6%

Juan Dela Cruz starring primetime prince Coco Martin garnered its all-time high nationwide TV ratings on Thursday, February 21. The action-fantasy series hit 42.6% according to Kantar Media national TV ratings, beating Ina Kapatid Anak with 40.4% rating nationwide.

Meanwhile, Apoy Sa Dagat is also one big success getting hold of its viewers since day 1 proven by its nationwide ratings maintained at 25% and above. Its rival, Temptation of Wife has already lost a lot of viewers after the much publicized transformation of Marian Rivera to Chantal.

Ina Kapatid Anak Breaches 40% National TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s primetime family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” recently reached its milestone all-time high rating, as its ‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala’ episode aired last Friday (February 15) breached the 40% national TV ratings mark.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the highly anticipated night, which featured the grand debut celebration of Celyn (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador), earned 40.1% national TV ratings, or more than 20 points higher that its two rival teleseryes in GMA, namely “Indio” which only got 17.4% and “Pahiram ng Sandali” that only registered 16.1% national TV ratings.

In the ‘Gabi ng Pagpapakilala’ episode, TV viewers across the country were glued to their small screens as they did not only witness the formal introduction of Celyn as a member of the Marasigan family but also the fiery confrontational scenes between Celyn and Margaux.

Now that everybody knows about the real identity of Celyn, will Margaux still find ways to get rid of her sister? What will the mysterious character of Diego (Alex Medina) do that will change the lives of Celyn, Margaux, and the people around them?

Meanwhile, Ina Kapatid Anak has hit 38.3% TV ratings on Thursday as the debut episode of Celyn and Margaux billed as 'Gabi ng Pagpapakilala' was aired. Coco Martin's Juan Dela Cruz is also a consistent top-rater.
