'Nicki Minaj' Wins Kalokalike Face 2; It's Showtime to Launch 'That's My Tomboy'

Impersonator Jennifer Catuyong was hailed as the second Ultimate Kalokalike in ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” after impressing the madlang people and the judges with her resemblance and flawless impression of the international recording artist’s antics.

As the Ultimate Kalokalike, Jennifer won P300,000 and a special artista package. Her win quickly made a massive buzz on social networking site Twitter and became one of its trending topics in the country and worldwide.

Placing as first runner-up and winning P200,000 is the Kalokalike of Apl de Ap, who also bagged the Picture Frame Award and won an additional P20,000 for being the most photogenic among the finalists.

Meanwhile, the Kalokalike of iconic comedy character Mr. Bean was named the second runner-up and received the Texters’ Choice Award for garnering the highest percentage of text votes from viewers. He brought home a total of P120,000.

The Kalokalikes of rapper Abra and singer Bamboo were also selected as runners-up, both winning P50,000 each. Abra Kalokalike took the Trending Award for the thousands of “likes” and positive feedback he’s been receiving online ever since joining the look-alike competition, while Bamboo Kalokalike got the BFF Award after being voted as the friendliest by his co-finalists.

The Kalokalike of “Twilight” hunk Taylor Lautner, meanwhile, failed to enter the Top 5 but still bagged the Kumarir Award for being the most improved contestant in terms of physique, appearance, and demeanor.

After Kalokalike, “It’s Showtime” will be launching a new segment that will showcase the talent and wits of lesbians in “That's My Tomboy.”

It's Showtime Kalokalike Face 2 Grand Finals Winner | 'Nicki Minaj' is Ultimate Kalokalike

It's Showtime Kalokalike Face 2 grand finals happened Saturday, September 28 in the most awaited Kalokalike Ultimate Showdown and the kalokalike of Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Catayong was hailed as the winner.

From Monday until Friday (Sept 23-27), 34 kalokalike grand finalists battle each other from among the contenders, the Top 15 grand finalists were selected made to clash for the Ultimate Kalokalike title.

The kalokalike of Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Catayong received P300,000. The first runner-up, Apl de Ap kalokalike, Reginald Abrio and second runner-up Mr. Bean kalokalike, Michael Angelo Lasac, received P200,000 and P100,000, respectively. 

Rounding up the top 5 finalists were Abra kalokalike, Mark Anthony Sanchez and Bamboo kalokalike, Raymond John Alternado who each received P50,000. 

Special awards were also given, each winner bringing home P20,000. Here they are:

• Kumarir Award (most improved) - Taylor Lautner kalokalike, Christopher Diwata
• Trending Award (online star) - Abra kalokalike, Mark Anthony Sanchez
• BFF Award (congeniality) - Bamboo kalokalike, Raymond John Alternado

• Texters’ Choice Award - Mr. Bean kalokalike, Michael Angelo Lasac 

Completing the Top 15 finalists were the Kalokalikes of Marian Rivera, Taylor Lautner, Noli De Castro, Billy Crawford, PNoy, Alfie Lorenzo, Jake Cuenca, Wiz Khalifa, Michael Jackson, and Jed Madela.

The look-alike contest of It’s Showtime became so popular among viewers and netizens that “Kalokalike Face 2” was launched immediately after its first run, which hailed Christopher De Leon look-alike Jonathan Garcia as the Ultimate Kalokalike last June.

The road to the “Kalokalike Face 2” grand finals has begun as 34 Kalokalike grand finalists battle each other from Monday until Friday (Sept 23-27) in ABS-CBN’s noontime program “It’s Showtime.” Check out the winners of Kalokalike Face 2 grand finals here.

From the 34 contenders, the Top 15 grand finalists will be selected and will be made to clash for the Ultimate Kalokalike title in the grand finals this Saturday (Sept 28). Tune in this week to get to know the stories behind the look-alikes and their inspiration to imitate their idols.

Who will emerge as the Ultimate Kalokalike and will win the P300,000 cash prize?

Meanwhile, “It’s Showtime” also invites groups that can render refreshing musical arrangements and tunes to compete in its newest segment “Jambunganga.”

Just create a group of five to 12 members and audition at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance along Sgt. Esguerra St in Quezon City from Mondays to Fridays, 3-5PM and look for Heide Villanueva and Jonathan Maximo.

Auditionees should bring a valid ID and a copy of his or her birth certificate is he or she is younger than 14 years old.

“Kalokalike Face 2 Grand Finals” is part of ABS-CBN’s jam-packed treat for its viewers this weekend, along with the grand finale of “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal,” one of the most successful game show adaptations on Philippine television. Veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez will dare to bargain with the Banker and experience the tension of opening briefcases in hopes of winning the P2 million jackpot for her chosen beneficiary.

72 Kalokalikes Battle for It's Showtime Kalokalike Face 2 Grand Finals Slots

Seventy-two look-alikes of local and international celebrities will come together and battle in the grandest and brightest tournament of Kalokalikes in ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” beginning Monday (August 26).

“Kalokalike Level Up Face 2” features the contestants at their best, wildest, and most improved impersonation of stars, and will be held over a course of four weeks from August 26 to September 20.

Each day, a group of Kalokalikes will face off to get a slot in the much-awaited grand finals on September 28 and will have the chance to be crowned as the Ultimate Kalokalike to win P300,000.

The first runner-up and second runner-up will bring home P200,000 and P100,000, respectively, while two additional runners-up will also be given cash prizes. Other stand-out contestants will also be given special awards.

It's Showtime Kalokalike Grand Finals Winner | Christopher de Leon is Ultimate Kalokalike

It's Showtime Kalokalike grand finals happened Saturday, June 1 in the most awaited Kalokalike Ultimate Showdown. Nineteen celebrity look-alike battled for the title of the Ultimate Kalokalike.

The kalokalike of Christopher de Leon, Jonathan Garcia was hailed as the grand finals winner of It's Showtime Kalokalike receiving P300,000 and the title of 'Ultimate Kalokalike.' The first runner-up, Jinkee Pacquiao kalokalike and second runner-up Julia Montes kalokalike, received P200,000 and P100,000, respectively. 

Rounding up the top 5 finalists were Joey de Leon and Adele kalokalikes who each received P50,000. 

Five special awards were also given, each winner bringing home P20,000. Kumarir Award went to the most improved kalokalike, Julia Montes. Trending Award went to the online star who is always trending in the web, Justin Bieber kalokalike Cliff Hogan. The BFF Award which was voted off by the 19 finalists and the Picture Frame Award determined by It's Showtime hosts went to Christopher de Leon kalokalike.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda kalokalike Jay Failanga took home the Texters’ Choice Award which was given to the Kalokalike who garnered the highest number of text votes from viewers.

The It's Showtime stage was graced by the Kalokalikes of Adele, Angel Locsin, Christopher de Leon, Coco Martin, Dingdong Dantes, Jay Contreras, Jinkee Pacquiao, Jhong Hilario, Joey de Leon, John Estrada, Joross Gamboa, Julia Montes, Justin Bieber, Kim Chiu, Kobe Bryant, Manny Pacquiao, Robin Padilla, Vice Ganda, and Wally Bayola.

The hashtag #UltimateKalokalike became the number 1 trending topic both worldwide and in the Philippines. Several other terms related to the It's Showtime ultimate kalokalike showdown such as the names of the celebrities being impersonated by the kalokalikes also flooded Twitter's trending topics.

Yael Yuzon Confronts Dingdong Dantes Over Karylle

Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon confronted actor Dingdong Dantes over Karylle. Not the real ones though because it happened on the Kalokalike segment of ABS-CBN noontime show It's Showtime.

Kalokalike Level up Thursday episode saw Raven Portuguez, impersonating Yael Yuzon and Carlos Miguel Joaquin, Dingdong Dantes kalokalike competing not only for the Kalokalike title but also for host Karylle. Dingdong danced with Karylle during his performance and impressed the host by giving her a rose, which earned the ire of Yael kalokalike.

The Dingdong Dantes kalokalike, however, beat Yael kalokalike and won over the judges. He will be joining the finals on June 1. Watch the video below:

It's Showtime Kalokalike 'Parade of Stars' (May 18); Kalokalikes Prep for Grand Finals

ABS-CBN noontime show It's Showtime presented the biggest gathering of celebrity look-a-like on its 'Parade of Stars' which happened Saturday, May 18.

The It's Showtime Kalokalike 'Parade of Stars' is part of the preparations for the upcoming grand finals of the hit noontime show segment. The 44 kalokalike will battle in the Kalokalike Level Up (round 2) to earn a shot at the Kalokalike grand finals where the ultimate kalokalike will win P300,000.

Popular kalokalikes include the look-a-like of Daniel Padilla, Coco Martin, Joey De Leon, Adele, Kim Chiu,  Angelica Panganiban, Teddy Corpuz, Christopher De Leon, Robin Padilla, Dingdong Dantes, Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee, and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
