In an interview with Interaksyon.com, Maui related that her role is very essential in the movie.
"The movie starts and ends with me. Sabi nila, hindi tatayo 'yung story kung wala ang character ko. They told me, if you do not do justice to your role the movie will not work.”
Maui has been chosen to play the role of the nanny after an international selection process involving an internet-based research undergone by the director and producers of the film. Maui is flying to France to attend the 65th Cannes Film Festival (dubbed as the world's most prestigious) which will run from May 16-27.
Helmed by the acclaimed Korean director Im Sang-Soo (Best Director at the 2010 Cinemanila International Film Festival for his previous movie, The Housemaid), The Taste of Money will be up against 20 other outstanding films from different countries.
