Oscars 2014 Airs Live Via Sattelite on Lifestyle Network this March 3

What is considered to be the movie industry’s most prestigious award has found a new home for its annual ceremony’s broadcast on Philippine television, as the 86th Academy Awards—popularly known as the Oscars—now reaches out to eager viewers via the Lifestyle Network, airing live as it happens.

From its historical introduction in 1929, the Academy Awards has since become known as the organization behind the world of film's most prestigious honor, coming in the form of the Oscar statuette. This statuette has now reached the status of an internationally admired symbol that stands as proof and recognition of the very highest level of achievement in movies, bearing significance of a caliber entirely its own.

This 2014, the Academy Awards is set to mount its 86th ceremony at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Chosen to take its audience and viewers alike through the star-studded event will be one of television’s favorite personalities, Ellen DeGeneres, who also previously hosted the event in 2007.

Sam Milby's Home Featured on Interior Motives this October 27

Sam Milby will open his home for everyone this Saturday (October 27) on “Interior Motives” hosted by Angel Aquino.

This week’s theme which is all about “Personality-driven Homes” will show more of Sam out of the limelight through a tour around his private oasis. In the episode, his design consultant Tess Medina will explain all about Sam’s modern and chic house as well as the inspiration behind the designs.

As a bonus treat, Angel will take viewers to Mariel Benitez’s home designed to embody the memories made by her family. Apart from this, Angel will also tour viewers to the Manila Fame Exhibit where she will have the chance to interview several designers such as Budji Layug, Ito Kish, Kenneth Cobonpue and many more.

Discover Angel Aquino's Interior Motives

The Lifestyle Network brings the most decorative show on the channel, “Interior Motives”, hosted by Angel Aquino which delves into anything and everything about the world of interior design.

“One of the strongest aspects of the show is the feature of the ‘know’, ‘how’ and ‘buy’ aspects of interior design. Viewers are bound to learn something new and exciting as it teaches the basics, from best color schemes to go with certain décor to turning simple objects into effective devices,” said Apples De La Vega, executive producer of the show.

Viewers will be given excellent recommendations and extensive comparisons on furniture, ornaments and pieces featured in the show, as well as advice on alternatives depending on the budget.

Professional interior designers will be featured on every episode, showcasing their works as well as providing knowledge on interior design. Their tips and tricks will give viewers an inside look into their perception of the perfect space.

According to Angel, her excitement on hosting the show is overflowing because she hungers for the knowledge the show will impart to her and its viewers.

“I don’t have a background on interior designing; this is some kind of a treat for me because the show is giving me ideas and slowly, I’m able to piece my own dream home. The show is very informative, it’s like I’m one of the viewers,” she said.

No one will be left behind as the designers focus on specific locations in the home, such as featuring and comparing bedrooms or bathrooms only. Regardless of taste, everyone will be treated with a contrast and variety of designs, be it antique, modern, classic or oriental.

Also, all jargon will be explained after each episode to ensure that every viewer can understand and eventually, sound like a real expert at interior designing.

Premiering at 7:00 p.m. on August 4 (Saturday), “Interior Motives” will take a regular spot on Saturday nights at the same time, exclusively on the Lifestyle Network, with replays every day.
