Angel Locsin and Vhong Navarro to Star in Upcoming Movie

The publicly-loved team-up of Justin and Isabel, the couple made famous by Vhong Navarro and Angel Locsin in the comedy series “TODA Max”, will make it to the big screen via an upcoming comedy film.

“I was told that I will be partnered with Angel again. I was surprised because that’s my dream,” Vhong excitedly shared.

As a love team in the weekly comedy show, “TODA Max”, they have gotten used to being partnered together. In it, Vhong plays the funny cook, Justin Bibbo while Angel plays his loving girlfriend, Isabel Padausdos.

Vhong believes that the movie will be great because he and Angel are comfortable in their comedic scenes in their weekly show.

Meanwhile in “TODA Max”, Justin will be leaving for Italy and this will make everyone, especially Isabel, lonely. As he enters the airport, Justin will receive some shocking news.

Tol (Robin Padilla), on the other hand, will be a little intimidated as Diane’s (Valerie Concepcion) ex-boyfriend returns. Guest star Gerald Anderson will be the pilot, Andrew, Diane’s rich and handsome ex.

Angel Locsin and Phil Younghusband Not Yet Ready to Settle Down

As the battle between the Philippines and the national football teams of Malaysia, Indonesia and Guam happen, Phil Younghusband, together with the Azkals, are prepping hard in their quest to bring glory to our country in this field of sport.

With Angel Locsin on his side as his inspiration, Phil is determined to play his best in the upcoming games.

“I want a future with Angel” Phil shared. “Hopefully, I will have a future with Angel as we get stronger. My love for her keeps on growing every day.”

Angel hints that a wedding won’t be an option soon. “Well, we are still young and we have more priorities in life. We are not yet ready to settle down,” she explained. “We are happy with our status and with what we have right now.”

Meanwhile on “TODA Max”, bells will be ringing as Justin (Vhong Navarro) and Isabel (Angel Locsin) face the biggest event of their lives so far – their wedding. But as this big day comes, both Isabel and Justin will have second thoughts on their decision. Tol (Robin Padilla) and Dianne (Valerie Concepcion) will talk to them and comfort the couple.

Jericho, Robin and Marian in New Talk 'N Text TV Commercial

Kapamilya actors Jericho Rosales and Robin Padilla joins Kapuso star Marian Rivera in the new Talk 'N Text TV commercial. The video of the said TV commercial hits the net last May 4.

The new Talk 'N Text TV commercial had Jericho, Robin and Marian singing while telling the story of their 'tropang panalo.' With the TV commercial's tagline, "Araw araw kang panalo," (Everyday winner), Smart communications dubbed this new project as one of their best TV ad.

Daniel Padilla Plays Young Robin in 'Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw'

Up and coming ABS-CBN prime leading man Daniel Padilla will be playing the role of a young Robin Padilla in the teleserye Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw. Daniel, who is Robin's nephew is a perfect fit for the role of the young Robin as the two shares common nuances.

Daniel Padilla is the son of Robin’s brother Rommel with actress Karla Estrada. Currently, Daniel is playing the role of Gino in the primetime royal teleserye, Princess and I. 

In an interview with ABS-CBN news, Daniel himself revealed that he will play the teenager version of Robin's character in the series Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw. Robin will be starring opposite Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis in the said ABS-CBN teleserye.

“Ngayon sa teleserye nila Kris Aquino at ni Tito Robin, batang Robin ho ako dito,” Daniel said.

The young Padilla also said that he will be appearing in an action movie togeter with his father Rommel and uncle Robin. Daniel finished filming the scenes in two days.

“May ginagawa po kami nila Tito Robin, ni Papa na movie, kaya abangan ho ninyo. Action ho ito, at mag-a-action po ako,” revealed Daniel.

In a report by Gretchen Fullido aired on TV Patrol tonight, May 1, Daniel said that he does not want to enter right now into a serious relationship as he sees this as a 'hassle' yet he did not deny his liking of Kathryn.

“Hindi ko naman itinatago na gusto ko si Kathryn. Medyo naha-hassle lang ako ngayon mangligaw, baka puro selos abutin ko. Opo [seloso ako]. Kasi ho talagang ugali ho ng mga Padilla ang pagiging seloso, sa totoo lang. Siyempre di ba, sino ang gusto na may kahati?” he said.

Daniel, being jealous, might be referring to Kathryn's other leading men in Princess and I, Enrique Gil and Khalil Ramos.

Phil Younghusband Faces Angel Locsin in 'Toda Max' This April 14

From football, Team Azkals’ striker Phil Younghusband now ventures into acting on television, as guest star in top-rating sitcom “TODA Max” this Saturday (April 14), after “Maalaala Mo Kaya” on ABS-CBN. 

In his portrayal of himself in the sitcom, Phil will be paired off with his rumored girlfriend Angel Locsin. He said acting for a comedy program was made easy by Angel, as the premier actress gave him tips and moral support.

In the story, Phil will finally meet Justin (Vhong Navarro), his rival to Isabel’s (Angel) heart. Tol (Robin) will set up a one-on-one football match between Tisoy and Justin to determine who really deserves Isabel’s love. Who will win in this passionate game of love?

Meanwhile, the first ever Bida Kapamilya public service event will be held also this Saturday at the Ynares Stadium, Antipolo from 8a.m. to 8p.m. One of the services the festive gathering is “TODA Max’s” free tricycle rides from select locations to Ynares.

Kapamilya Stars Top TRU Survey as Pinoy Teens' Favorite

Kapamilya stars dominated the top 5 favorite stars among Filipino teens and young adults according to “The Teen Research Unlimited (TRU) Study: 2012 Philippine Edition.” 

Toda Max lead Robin Padilla clinches the top spot and hailed as most favorite star among teens ages 12-19 and young adults ages 20-24.

Meanwhile, Walang Hanggan  star Coco Martin ranked at no. 2 most favorite from among the teens and young adults. 

Among teens, actress Kim Chiu and Angel Locsin tied for fourth place, while singer-actress Sarah Geronimo was at No. 5. Kim didn’t place on the survey of young adults.

According to Abegail Barcelona, associate research director for the TRU study, the survey was done during the period of June-July 2011when Robin was starring in the hit ABS-CBN primetime action series Guns and Roses with Bea Alonzo.

She then attributed Coco's high ranking to the latter's hit ABS-CBN primetime drama series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

Actress Marian Rivera was the only non-ABS-CBN star on the list. Marian Rivera was at No. 3 for both teens and young adults.
