Cacai Bautista on Mario Maurer: "Thank you for being a friend...I love you po"

Cacai Bautista cried over Mario Maurer during her exclusive interview with Showbiz Inside Report on Saturday, March 9. The comedienne expressed her gratitude towards the Thai superstar that despite all the intrigues, their friendship remained strong.

"Naiiyak ako kasi sobrang bait niya talaga sa akin. Hindi ko kasi akalain na magiging magkaibigan kami na ganito eh. Kasi 'yung mga tao... Porket ba komedyante na chaka hindi na pwedeng magkaroon ng kaibigan na sikat na superstar, na international star?"

"Siya lang 'yung nagpatunay na wala talagang pinipili 'yung totoong pagkakaibigan, kahit ano ka pa. Marami akong kaibigan, pero 'di ba, sino ba mag-aakala na ako lang, si Cacai lang [ang magiging kaibigan ni Mario]," Cacai told host Carmina Villaroel.

Cacai Bautista and Mario Maurer became friends on the set of Suddenly It's Magic where Cacai had a supporting role. However, rumors about her and Mario dating surfaced after she posted a series of photos on Instagram showing her with the Thai actor, his friends and family members.

Following these rumors Cacai was hurt by the reactions on her supposed relationship with the Thai heartthrob and the allegations that she's just using Mario to boost her popularity. 

"Minsan natatawa ako, minsan nase-stress ako. Wala naman ako pakialam kahit ano pang sabihin -- 'ambisyosa,' 'ilusyonada.' Pero 'yung sasabihin nila na I'm using Mario to be popular... Kasi hindi naman showbiz 'yung friendship namin eh. Totoong friendship iyon 'no," she said.

When asked if there's the possibility that she indeed would develop romantic feelings for Mario, Cacai said, "Siyempre, sumasagi 'yun sa isip ko. who wouldn't fall in love for a guy who's really nice, who has simple dreams? Everybody would fall in love not only with the Mario who is a superstar, but Mario as the person that he is. Parang, wow. Ako rin, may ganoon din. Pero sa ngayon gusto ko maging steady 'yung friendship namin," she said.

Her message to Mario Maurer:

"Thank you for being a friend. I know you don’t want me to worry anymore, but [it's just] because I want to protect you. I love you po," Cacai said extending her gratitude to Mario. "Whatever happens, I will still be your friend no matter what, even if you're not Mario the star anymore, I promise you that. Thank you so much," she added.

Suddenly It's Magic Grosses P47.2 M in 3 Weeks; A Secret Affair Hits P118.42 M in 4 Weeks - Box Office Mojo

Suddenly It's Magic starring Erich Gonzales and Mario Maurer grossed P47.2 million after 3 weeks of showing in theaters according to Box Office Mojo (BOM). The movie's performance in the box office, however, failed to live up to the expectations which only proved that Mario Maurer's fans in the country is not enough to pull off a big hit.

Meanwhile, A Secret Affair starring Anne Curtis, Andi Eigenmann and Derek Ramsay had a total 4-week gross of P118.42 million, a sure box office hit but quite low compared to other movies of its genre like No Other Woman and The Mistress.

For the period of November 14-18, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 was on top with a P166.9 million gross in just 5 days followed by James Bond movie Skyfall with a running gross of P141.36 million in 3 weeks.

Suddenly It's Magic Grosses P38.1-M in 2 Weeks, A Secret Affair Hits P112.5-M in 3 Weeks - Box Office Mojo

Suddenly It's Magic starring Erich Gonzales and Mario Maurer grossed P38.09 million after 2 weeks in theaters according to Box Office Mojo (BOM). The Rory Quintos film did not quite arouse the interest of many unlike previous movies from Star Cinema but then, we don't have the authority to say that the movie is flop.

Meanwhile, Viva Films' A Secret Affair starring Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Andi Eigenmann had a 3-week running gross of P112.47 million, not much of a money compared to its predecessor No Other Woman. The movie, however is a certified box office hit being the 6th film to breach the P100-M mark this year.

Lui-Vi-Ton movie This Guy's In Love With You Mare had already grossed P249.1 million and is now on its way to snatch the crown of this year's biggest blockbuster from The Mistress. 

Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles, on the other hand, had a 4-week total of P83.35 million and can also be considered a blockbuster.
